What dodgy Windows 10 are you people running, I have msdn enterprise/ultimate subscription and I don't have rtm release of windows 10 yet.

You don't have 10240 yet? That's strange. Have you tried running windows update manually, and are you in the fast ring?

I am running 10240 right now, but it's not activated. I need to reformat first, since some files have gotten corrupted in a earlier build.

How to activate Windows 10 build 10240

It seems as though this uses a fake KMS server in India to activate Windows so it may not be exactly legal.

According to Microsoft you will only be able to activate Windows after release, if it was not activated before build 10240: UPDATED:

If it hasn't been mentioned before.

Upgrade to 10 from 7 or 8/8.1 Download and run Produkey(won't work for volume license keys) to get your key. Re-install Windows clean install with that key if you are not happy with the upgrade installation. Easiest way to find your key with the Full true release come 29th.

If you have a BIOS OEM key embedded, it will show you both the BIOS key and the Wind 10 key

I was running win 10 since 10162 insider preview. It updated itself to the RTM (final) release and is fully activated. No India servers or anything . All legit

Well when 10240(the RTM build) came out, mine didn't update automatically. I had to go in Windows update and search for new updates.

Mine actually says that it is registered, but not with my key from 8.1. So when it releases on Wednesday it will stay in the insider preview unless I register it.

It was about 7-10 days ago. Maybe you should manually check for updates also make sure you are fast lane.

Mine also didn't show under updates. I then upgraded to a preview build then used the RTM ISO and upgraded the preview build. It's activated as far as I can see.

so once the download is finish you just double click install
