Samsung's Galaxy S10 to include "budget" options

Samsung keeps at it. With a behind-screen camera in development and talks of a new foldable phone, the S10 looks to be an interesting addition to their lineup.

Following the likes of Apple, Samsung is looking at expanding their specific model offering, something that hasn't been done in a while. We all remember the slightly cheaper "mini" models that were released in years past. They were smaller, less-specced versions of the bigger phone, at a more affordable price. Samsung has stopped this since the S5 Mini, after which the A series seems to have taken up this space.

However, this might be returning with the S10. Not the Mini naming convention, nor the physically smaller phones per se, but at least in specs the S10 will offer more choice. Codenamed "Beyond", it is clear that Samsung has big plans for this model series. They seem to be aiming at a wider market, with triple cameras on the rear of the phone and it may even have the under-screen camera on the front as...

Slipgate Mode and a New Champion for Quake Champions
  • 581
  • 25
Quake Champions gets a new update of around 3.8gb, so it adds Slipgate mode and a new champion for the game, an ultra-mobile Quake 2-inspired champion called Athena, and an Arcade, which will host matches with wacky rule sets that rotate every week.

New Champion

Athena’s calling card is her grappling hook, which makes her the most agile character in the game. When hooked onto a surface, you can press and hold ‘F’ to start swinging from it, which gives you lots of options for getting around aerially. You can just zoom straight to the hook without swinging if you like, which will be very useful on the ground for getting to power-ups ahead of enemies.
Champions Pack

If you don’t own the game’s Champions Pack then you’ll have to pay to unlock Athena—or, you could hope that the community collectively plays one million rounds of the new Slipgate mode before the end of the month, at which point she’ll unlock for free for everybody (and...

Just Cause sees another return of black ops agent Rico Rodriguez with Just Cause 4, as he travels Solis in an attempt to find the truth about his past.

Solid is a fictional South American country and the setting for the Just Cause games. The map for Just Cause 4 is huge, weighing in at more than 1,024 square kilometers (assuming a perfect square, that’s an area 32×32 kilometers).

The game will feature extreme weather conditions including severe thunder storms, and you can indeed be struck by lightning. There are no instant death events in Just Cause 4, encouraging players to be more creative with their gameplay, so a lightning strike will severely injure but not kill.

Command & Conquer Might Be Remastered
  • 729
  • 17
The original Command & Conquer released back in 1995 is one of the games that solidified the RTS genre, and spawned a plethora of sequels including classics such as Red Alert, Tiberian Sun, Generals and even an FPS called Renegade.

Since its prime in the mid to late 2000s, the RTS genre has received very little love from developers and gamers alike, but EA hopes to change that with the possibility of remastered versions of the old games.

“Ten years ago I had the pleasure of being on the production team for Command & Conquer 3 and Red Alert 3, along with being the Lead Producer on Kane’s Wrath. During those years, some of my favorite moments were interacting with our passionate community, whether at our onsite Community Summits, on the forums, or while attending various events such as Gamescom,” said Jim Vessella, a producer at Electronic Arts.

He continued with “The Command & Conquer community also wants to see the franchise return to PC. And as a fan of C&C for over 20 years, I...

NVIDIA Shares Slip on RTX Family Sales

Nvidia’s new RTX series made news all over and raised expectations for the brand long before it was released. Gamers were excited and miners were hopeful. Everyone had an opinion on launch dates, apparent benchmarks were “leaked” and people were just about to throw punches about misinformation and opinions being spread as fact. After launch though, it seems like Nvidia might have made a bit of a mistake.

The cards certainly didn’t live up to the hype. We were all excited to see the actual performance of the cards that finally broke the GTX-naming cycle and from the internet we pulled information, how wrong it might even have been, that showed a “50% increase in performance”. Gamers were expecting almost unrealistic increases in framerates which would have been extremely welcoming, but Nvidia failed to deliver.

The launch card, the RTX 2080, launched with a massive price tag, specially in South Africa and when it was revealed that performance is only marginally higher than the...

Why I will always choose Huawei

  • 1,694
  • 51
In my experience a lot of people mock me for owning a Huawei thinking it's a cheap Chinese phone (and that's not even Apple users), but little do they know...

Anywho, I've converted my entire family to Huawei because I truly believe in their products. But they offer something of even more value, great customer service.

I phoned their call centre today to ask about the Android P and EMUI 9 Beta programme and why I haven't been approved. First of all the call centre is I'm South Africa, all the points for that. Second of all the guy I spoke to (Lerato) was excellent, treating me with respect and he was very knowledgeable about the Beta programme. He also was able to pronounce my name and surname which even I struggle with.

So he helped me get in touch with the correct department. After phoning the incentive department, they couldn't quite figure out why my profile wasn't on the system, so I sent Lerato an email stating that they cannot assist does he have any other solutions and...
