If there is a legit hack on his account he will contact the support forum in general and explain but this will need a lot of of proof (unlike watsie and his affidavit )

I assume that Carbonite will send the person an email to say they are banned. I have only looked on here when I was looking for specific tech items, so I don't logon for months at a time. I've just started looking for a server and Carbonite seems to be a bit safer than FB marketplace...

I wouldn't know. I don't do dodgy sh!t to get myself banned. Banned users generally pick up very quickly that they do not have account access and can post on the support forum for mods to take a look at.

Yes, CUD is safer than FB market place but there are still risks (ie, a post like this one) A few years back when I was a kid my dad was almost scammed into paying for VISA's and such to go work at Nokia HQ. This post and they way it was written immediately brought flash backs of that.

I was on Freecycle in the UK and got a few small items locally. When I emigrated to SA I needed to sell or clear out loads of items. Anything that didn't sell on Gumtree or eBay was either given to friends/neighbours or advertised on Freecycle/Gumtree for free collection. Every thing that was taken for free reduced the trips I needed to make to the "local" dump, which was a 10 mile drive each way.

I even got a 42U rack for free - the only catch was I had to collect from an office block in the centre of London!
