No. Outer shell is actual carbon fibre, with the inner shell being a carbon composite for durability and light weight..Is this one of those helmets with the word carbon in but no carbon fibre?

MT-09, that's awesome. I was about to buy it also, but after a back to back test I decided to rather go for the MT-07 given that the 09 wanted to kill me with a wheelie in 4th gear. 10/10 in my book, you have a winner there.
So I am in need of a pair of boots for my ninja.
My Spirit DSAP's don't work so well on the bike so have been riding with normal shoes *ghasp*.
Had a look at the Spirit RS-3 boots, does anyone know if these are decent?
I.e build quality etc, or do they just fall apart/break/stink up a storm?
Alternatively what boots would you recommend? Note my budget is R2.5k max
Might be getting a 2 piece full leather kit soon though. just waiting on my supplier to get it in stock so I can fit it on.I have a pair of Berrick boots, work well with my full peace leathers although you would want something more with wearing jeans?

I absolutely love it! I test rode the MT-07 and the MT-10, I preferred the MT-09 as the middle ground. And it fitted in my budget!
Just look at her - she is beautiful!View attachment 1413
0 posts about the Moto GP race. WTF guys!
Forum does indeed seem a bit... meh
Awesome day at the track!
My brother had a few issues with his bike though (KTM cough cough). Seems bolts keep falling of of his bike, and not little unimportant ones. Last time it was one of the Engine bolts, and this time it was the oil drain bolt.
Get some RST tractech evo boots. So I am in need of a pair of boots for my ninja.

Hahaha ! That is kind of obvious yeah, and all the major bolts already have loctite on.
Those are slightly out of budget unfortunately.Get some RST tractech evo boots.
Mah bike is on 800KM. 200 more and then comes it's first service... and it's loud maker gets fitted xD.
Yeaaaaah boi.
Oh yea, Maybe it's time for a bit of a owners review.
Lemme start.
Every time I accelerate, the traction control light comes on.
The end
You can actually book it already, did my First service on 880km, after they told me they can do it on 800km.
I know the feeling, Beter one is if you turn the traction control off and you accelerate it makes black lines, in your pants and on the road Sideways.
They also say that the best bike is the one that scares you a little bit. Can honestly say that the SD scares me a little.
BTW: Just Changed my Rear tyre after 4000km.
The OEM tyre?
Your knee is already there bike is low enough just extend legSee this thread is quiet and for over a month now really was looking forward to a Track weekend.
And it finally arrived. So had me a little Track action on the KTM.
We arrived at the Track on Friday @ 11 and unpacked everything. Time for set up etc. Got a little track time on Friday were I managed to get my knee down for the first time. Even though it is only a little scrape mark is was pleasing.
Got my time around Phakisa down as well, got a set of Dunlop Q3's and they are So much better than the shit KTM put on the bike in the first place. Front gave me tons more confidence. Not me taking the pics, so stole them from the Photographer on his Laptop. Getting the knee lower and lower. Brake and Gear shifter are scrapping a lot now.
Track was very cold in the mornings and hungry for Tires. 3 of the Guys in our groups rear tyres were done came end of the weekends riding.
Good Weekend, surprised myself a bit best time of the day for me was a 2:02 on Saterday in the very last session.
Next time will be searching for Sub 2:00 minute laps. One rider in our group with 675 Triumph Daytona did a 1:52. Fastest Lap of the weekend last time i heard was a 1:43.

These things are definitely awesome, I had a look at one last week and its so very tempting. So I took this guy for a spin on Saturday. The Husqvarna Vitpielen 401. It comes in two versions; one with normal handle-bars and a slightly more upright riding position (pictured), and one with clip-ons which look amazing and give it a much more forward-leaning riding position.
It's a 373cc single with 32kW but holy balls it goes (and turns and stops) like mad! There isn't much under 6000rpm but if you keep it on the boil at around 7k you're smiling all the way. It only weighs 148kg so it responds to the slightest brake/throttle/steering input with enthusiasm.
I found the steering on the handle-bar model really twitchy though; to a point where I backed off the throttle at 120kph for fear of starting a tank-slapper.
My other complaint is the positioning of the cat right up in the frame, so it doesn't get much fresh air and pumps heat out onto your legs.
I want one for commuting though. R80k and So. Much. Fun.

I know it is wrong thread, but I am looking at getting my first bike. Turning 16 in June, and I just need one to get to school, the gym and back. I do not have much money (family can't support me either ) So would you recommend I get like a new 2017 SYM Blaze 200 or a 2010 used CBR125R. I don't know what my options are at around 10K limit lol. Might need a Gofundme
