Bikers!?

The amount of times I have seen bikes fall over due to a soft surface at rallies....
My dads ZX12 fell over like that at the Rhino. 4 Other bikes toppled over as well when his hit the bike next to him

Many moons ago at the Buffalo 2006 or 2007 I think we had just arrived on the Friday night and taking the mandatory walk around the camp grounds to check out all the bikes.

Just walking along around the outside (towards the train tracks) there is a GS (or RT maybe but was a Boxer BMW) on the center stand parked in what is effectively mud. Of course as we happen to walk past the thing poeses over fortunately just barely touching the mirror of the bike next door and not causing a domino.

But virtually INSTANTLY a drunk as a skunk (skank?) in typical club colours comes flying out of fucking nowhere saying YOOOOOOOOUUUU!!!! Knocked over my boyfriend's bike and all I could think was "oh yay...starting the Buffalo with a fist fight and smacking a woman is going to be grand".

I thought she was going for me but she was mid air with the wagging finger towards my now ex and I was just like oi very you are going to get the bitch slap of your life lady when suddenly she stops mid air and one of the other club guys who had seen it happen obviously grabs her by the collar and stops her dead in her tracks and tells her to calm down it fell over by itself.

Weekend commenced without any fights or further drama but it was a hilarious start to the rally.

My gat gesien on Sunday!

Went out on track with cold tyres, eve though I had my tyre warmes there. But due to uhm... Logistics with plugs was not able to use them.
Went out for the first lap to get my tyres up to temp. Halfway round the track the front wheel tucked on and had a nice slide down the track on my back :/

LOL. I ask if you hurt yourself and you somma say "Nah, my bike sustained minimal damage and I was able to carry on riding"
True biker attitude. :)

Reminds me of my Mountain bike days; I was volunteering on a hectic hairpin turn on a crazy downhill stretch, the one guy comes careening down the hill, misses the turn and vanishes into the bush amidst cries of pain.
Next second he has the bike on his shoulder and he's jumping out of the bush looking for a place to get back onto his "bent" bike.
I ask where he's going and he says he has a race to finish, I laughed at him and told him he wasn't going anywhere after pointing at his bike that was buckled so he proceeds to starts straightening the bike out in front of me so I stopped him and told him to look at his left arm and shoulder......... I proceeded to carry his bike back for him and called an ambulance to fetch him due to a broken collarbone and broken left arm.
He says" Jislike man I need to finish, this is minor damage".

Eish

Since there is damage you must reduce the price drastically, then I'll buy it ;)

Getting paint mixed for the crash bar and broken footpeg hanger. Thats R230, kawasaki asking me R1400 for the footpeg hanger for brakelever side. So im having it welded up and hoping that it would be fine.

Dis Mah new bike. Balls to the walls amazing xD. Picked it up yesterday.

Just needs an akrapovič and a tailtidy ;)

The akra is on order. Will only be here at the end of April. Tail tidy can wait a couple months. It also has the performance pack which includes the electronic engine braking and quickshifter and a bunch of rubbish to connect your phone to the bike, I still don't see what the reason is but it came with the pack soo... I have it. :/

Awesome, nevermind the phone connecting crap ... still sexy AF

To this day I cannot understand this obsession with tail tidies.

I have never had or seen the need for one.
GHASSSP!!!!

That is like a lady with a nice ass... but filled with hail damage. Has the potential, but so much distracts from the rear end

A tail tidy is not a must have it is just a thing to clean up the design. The number plate brackets position gets dictated by laws and regulations and is always an after thought for a designer or manufacturer.

Just walking around a bike without it you can tell that it is made to go fast look good if it doesn't have a huge number plate bracket that should not belong there.

Bike like the Diavel found a design around it a bit.

See but that's kind of my thing.

A huge numberplate is going on the back regardless (assuming you keep things legal) and as such a tail tidy really doesn't do much of anything to resolve the design problems.

Compromises need to be made.

Then again maybe I've just never had bikes with an ugly ass that needed help. :)

Also it has practical benefits like keeping the weather off your back in the rain.

Could be, I didn't do it to my Yamaha XT660, or K1300GT as it didn't need it. My KTM does need it.
My GS Also doesn't need it. I like the scoop on the new MT-09 and wouldn't bother fitting a tail tidy to one of those.

MT-09, that's awesome. I was about to buy it also, but after a back to back test I decided to rather go for the MT-07 given that the 09 wanted to kill me with a wheelie in 4th gear. o_O 10/10 in my book, you have a winner there.

MT-09 is good. When I test rode one, alongside the MT-07, It pulled and felt like it had all the mid range power but having ridden bikes forever and riding a 1000cc at the time it just wasn't enough. The MT07 on the other hand, brilliant bike. If someone asked my opinion of the two I would recommend the MT07. Goes well, has enough on tap to get ahead of almost any car except them AMG league cars. MT-10.... I don't like it, Simply because it has the R1 engine and tunes it all the way down.... why do that? Make a 200HP naked... comon.

Getting my snazzy carbon helmet today to go with the ninja.
Using the same old matt black helmet with my ninja as I did with my vfr just won't do.
I'm going for this. LS2 Helmets
Is this one of those helmets with the word carbon in but no carbon fibre?
