Is anyone on here familiar with Google search console because I'm starting to think that its completely broken or I'm just a idiot.

I have watched and read guides on how to set everything up and my site is connected and displayed in google search however I am having the below issues:

- I have removed URLS from search months ago that still appear in google search how long does it take for removals?
- A few of my posts refuse to be indexed on google no matter what I do.
- My sites identity icon will work one day and the next it doesn't.

Any input will be appreciated.

Don't use it too often but some suggestions here;

It can take anywhere from days, to weeks, to months, or Google can just refuse. Are these URLs still active, are they in a sitemap, are there socials/forums linking to them etc? You may need to add redirects to these pages so Google clearly knows you don't want the content indexed

- A few of my posts refuse to be indexed on google no matter what I do.
There are a lot of reasons, but Google is extremely unhelpful here. What's on these pages? Google has been tightening its grip on content, especially with the March core and spam update that rolled out. Whether the content is too thin, seen as spam, affiliate, AI, etc, Google will not index these pages

Under the manual actions and security section, are there any warnings?

Sounds like an issue crawling the page with your fav icon, but honestly I'd have no clue about this

I have completely deleted the posts but it seems like google is refusing to remove the URLs as the removal requests just end up expiring, and all my redirects seem to be setup and working just fine. Its not a big problem you just get a 404 error when trying to open one of the deleted posts.

The google indexing makes no sense because I have posts that are thin and they end up getting indexed within a day then I have large form posts that google refuses to Index. In regards to AI content google will either index it or not even if its 100% AI generated its so inconstant.

And no warning on my site currently only alert saying pages aren't indexed but these are one I have delete and requested removals for.

Its a strange one but I see its not only my site alot of sites are having this issue.

Well, shit... I'm not sure I could offer any other ideas. Every 'update' they roll out I just find more and more issues with stuff and can feel like throwing spanners at an engine until it starts running again

No I agree with you google make it near impossible for smaller sites to get traffic they feed all the big sites with clicks and rank them for content that isn't even relevant or correct.
