Banggood Refund

Hi everyone, I don't know if this has been discussed before. I recently purchased the OnePlus buds 3 from banggood and they arrived faulty. I queried them and they offered to give me 20 dollars. I paid 108 dollars. They will only give me the full amount if I send it back but they won't reimburse me for shipping. Am I screwed or will they cave in and give me a partial refund? Thanks for any advice.

What did you pay with? If you used PayPal you could try and log a dispute with them.

I used PayPal, the rep said I must dispute with banggood first before they intervene. Kinda sucks but I've learned my lesson only buy local. Thanks for the feedback hopefully I get something back.

Honestly, you're lucky you got that much support. When dealing with these large Chinese exporters, it's entirely a gamble. If you paid via CC you might be able to reverse the charge, but that might be fraud as they've got warranty policies in place and not refusing to assist you - you just need to get it to them at your own cost.

Yep, that's true. I don't want to do the charge back since I have bought many items from them and don't want my account banned. I might take the bullet if they offer 50 dollars. Cut my losses.

Update, They offered me 40 dollars Refund. Took it and I'm going to get repaired. Thx for all the advice. Local is lekker 👍

Bro, I tried but It only seemed like they responded when I'm sleeping and when I chatted to a live agent it was like "20 dollar, 25 dollar, 30 dollar " and so on. Took forever to get to 40 dollars. I'm very lucky to get a refund at all. Takealot service is way superior.

Offtopic, but many many years ago I ordered some 4 18650 and a convoy c8 torch from banggood, it didnt arrive and i got a refund within a few months.

One and a half years after said purchase, it arrived at the local post office and i got a slip in my mailbox to collect.
