Wootware GPU Replacement advice

Appreciate the breakdown there good stuff. The problem childs are a 7900xt sadly. I think based on feedback ima look at a 4070/4070ti-Super Whats everyones thoughts on the 4070ti super worth or no?

IMO, if you absolutely cannot afford the 4080 super then the 4070 ti super is the choice if you need 16gb vram, but generally speaking the 4070 super has better price/performance. The ideal pick is either the 4070 super or the 4080 super, 4070ti super is wanting as much performance as possible in a 4080 but being budget constrained.

Hi Everyone

as you can imagine I'm not touching this brand/card again its my first AMD card and its been a sour experience the same for woot tbh

You're mixing up board partner design being shit versus the AMD brand and the fact that Wootware is offering you store credit should be applauded.

I dare you to buy from Evetech and get anything other than the middle finger. Wootware is great.

I've owned enough XFX GPUs (6800XT, 6600GT and a few others) and seen enough user experiences of them as a brand to never touch them ever again.

I'm sure that they make a good model of GPU but they tend to be the worst designed products of the lot.

I see that Wootware doesn't even stock XFX any more.

@Vliesie if you email and ask them they will pay you your store credit as an EFT. I returned a faulty mobo 2.75 years into its 3 year warranty period, they didn't have a replacement so they gave me store credit for the full value I paid for it nearly 3 years prior. And when I asked they paid it out to me that same day.

If all you want is a refund, you can just ask for it.

my 7900xt running cool as a cucumber never had a gpu that runs this cool under load (XFX speedster Merc 310)

cant remember now but just know when i looked at it i was like oh wow not even 70C so undr 70 at load
This is the same GPU as OP and I just looked at a review:

Cooling & noise levels

Initially, we were very happy with the cooling performance of the reference cooler. We see a close to 55-60 degrees C for the XFX MERC 7900 XT, and that's lovely. Acoustics-wise, the card initially cannot be heard; however, after a while, it heats up under heavy load and breaches a more moderate 41-42 DBa. The design for cooling is excellent, with fantastic dark looks, though. Expect the card to get close to 55~60°C when it's stressed with the default BIOS. This value can increase depending on how well air moves through your chassis. FLIR imaging doesn't show anything scary. Also, keep in mind that if you go for a custom card from a board partner, the power consumption levels will likely be higher due to increased TGPs and stuff like RGB and liquid cooling pumps.

OP, what chassis do you have?

I'm getting the hunch that you were restricting the airflow in your chassis too much with the GPU as it's longer than the previous GPUs that you had which is the main issue.

Did you have the GPU pressed right up against a part of the chassis with no ventilation or are your fans drawing air in from high up on the front of the chassis and then it gets immediately pushed from the CPU up and out?

You need to post a picture of your current airflow setup.

Ideally, it should look like this with the airflow able to reach the intake fans on the GPU

Yeah card is a giant need a massive case for it perhaps @JollyJamma is right maybe your restricting the airflow tomuch? I had to buy a case specifically for my card when i got my 6800xt and lucky the 7900xt is like same size so it fits perfect :) im running hella fans etc and its a huge case so mine gets plenty air and i think under load im at like 60 ish C
