Awesome. I got it downloaded on a different drive than on my SSD(installed on normal blue WD 2TB drive) and let me tell you what. Don't one of you ever dare to play this game without an SSD lol. Its fucking worst. Loading times is bad as shit and it crashes more often.

Was thinking I should make a new thread perhaps. But meh

I played this on first release, has anything major happened? Like can you maybe build your own settlement and such?

LOTS changed. Vehicles, can claim a building and make a lock for the door.
Can still build the basics like hut and loot box. More advanced building still in the pipeline. + official local server if you were not aware

I don't understand this how can this game and mardau or whatever it is called have local servers but PUBG still don't have

Pubg will not work. Will wait 60 min for a game, and then will only have 60 people on it.
I still don;t get why people do not understand that. Then we sit with same problem that BO4 is sitting with.
And no the local PUBG community is no where near big enough to have a full game any time of the day.

Game has lots of new content, started playing it again last week.
Going to start a clan/squad/group on 2162 if anyone wants to join

I am going to answer this question, although I think it is rhetoric... :p

PUBG only allows hosting on Amazon Web Services. We do not have an AWS web center in South Africa.
Rainbow Siege only allows hosting on Azure (Microsoft's web services.) We have one Azure web server in South Africa afaik. Full of business apps probably, no space for games. :p

Scum and Mardau are small games that 100% depend on their niche communities to keep them alive. Thus they make their sever files available so anyone can host. Your experience cannot be guaranteed though, as every server can now be wildly different.

edit: tiny edit above.

Imagine waiting 45 minutes for a pubg game and then end up playing with 60 people in a match each time. Will rather take the 150ms ping any time

What is your IGN? I also started again and man have they added a bunch. Base building is active.UI tweaks, M/F characters, archery etc. Quite enjoying the deathmatches and last night there were like 50 players on the #2162 SA server.

Flex

Died last night at the airfield with 3 fully equipped rifles. and tons of gear. Just claimed a few doors so did not have enough FP to spawn close to where I died. So now I am so damn far away from my base with absolutely nothing!

It is not no, when aiming anonymous had its games on a weekly basis (which was the largest local PUBG community), we could never get a full game going. And that was at a scheduled time that very knew about. Now imagine on a random Wednesday at 17:00. Will never work

SCUM Life is Dead life. We built a big compound using palisades. 25 logs per palisade. You can carry one log at a time. Get a car or a quad. Fill it up with logs. Should make building a bit easier/quicker and you don't need FP to build it. thereafter build foundations and put up a log cabin.

I'm assume you know how to farm FP? If not, DM me and I can try answer some questions to help you get going fast.

Just being realistic. Games where you have to queue up in a lobby and have games fill up with lots of people do not seem to be popular in SA for some reason.
BO4 is another good example.
SCUM is a survival game that anyone can hop onto the server at any time and go about their business.

Aiming Anonymous was great! Pity that it died because of internal politics. But even then, like you said, we battled to get more that 10 - 12 players in a match.

Due to 2 of the AA guys being ass holes and back stabbing others. Pitty yeah.
I was part of the AA first team and we did quite well in all the matches in AA and mettlesate comps

Lets put this in perspective:

TPP solo + TPP duo + TPP squad + FPP Solo + FPP duo + FPPsquad = Up to 600 players needed at any given time to maintain the current experience... ON ONE OF FOUR MAPS.

Want the entire community to play 1 game mode on 1 map? A game lasts just short of 30min, average persons time alive is probably close to 10min. You'll need about 400 active players at any given time to ensure you're not searching for close to 10min for a game that many die in less time than that.

Local pubg servers will kill the game. We can talk about local custom servers though, that would be nice
