R899 - 100/100Mbps - Vox / Vumatel

Thought price was OK-ish but looking at some of the prices posted here I am not so sure anymore...

Hi guys thanks to everyone posting their speeds/prices.

It does seem like MetroFibre is the best value for money. [ Which is sad because I moved away from a house that was with Metro 🥲 ]

Also you guys are making me feel like a doos for having a 50 meg package while some of you are on 1000mbps lines lol

Is there a coverage map for Metrofibre as opposed to entering your address and being told you're not covered?
Prices so good I might contemplate selling and buying in a covered area 😁

hey man i don't know if theres is a map but I use Afrihosts site to check but they're sneaky so you need to click the little prompt on the bottom right to see the other providers.

To see all options you can navigate to the following:
You can click on Fibre > Monthly > View Monthly Packages > Browse Packages

Paying R1500 for 1000/200 fibre line from RSAWeb (Octotel), and have minimal issues at best, except for when it rains and some twat takes out the local fibre box cutting us all off.

R960 for a 500/500 line from Metrofibre. I dont need it, but I hate waiting for things to download. I spent enough of my 20s using crappy internet where I would need to leave something running over the weekend just to download 10gb.

I am on 75/75 @1099 p/m.

And I do really hope, everyone at TTConnect has a absolutely horrible day.

They bought our apartment complex, everyone around me paying R699 on Vuma, must be nice.

After looking at these prices, I've realised that these cunt ISPs are really just charging whatever they want.

70/70 R853, Accelerit
I feel your pain man. I am in the Sandton area and Accelerit was the only option (they own the backbone for the complex). Was paying a similar amount, but service provision was the worst - the backbone would die during load shedding, and even when it was up, it was pathetic.

We had to cancel the card used for the debit order to stop them from taking our money because they didn't cancel timeously, they still owe us about R2K.

We changed to MTN home wireless (the only other option) - paying R499 for 35Mbps, but probably going to upgrade to their max speed option, which is R999.

How? Mine is 999 for 200/200. Don't you stay in the Woesrand also?

Wtf. Some of these prices don't make sense. We're at Afrihost, 200/200 @ 1047.

But changing ISPs is aids.
I am on month to month, when the 24 month contract with CellC ended I just couldn't bring myself to handcuff myself to anyone for another two years. After four years CellC still can't correct my email address that the gifted agent got wrong but did manage to start sending me a statement for a now defunct prepaid SIM I had for a 3G dongle. Yes, every month I get a statement that says nothing.

It took me about six months to correct their other stuff up when they one day changed me from debit order to manual deposit. Six months! No one I spoke to could correct it, every conversation would end in them needing someone with authority they didn't have.

The only reason I am still with them is because mostly I don't have to deal with them, nor do I have to speak to another mouthbreather agent from any ISP.
