Is Afrihost really that bad???

Been with Afrihost for close to three years, their service was awesome until the MTN deal happened, all downhill from there.
But recently Afrihost has rolled out a new POC network and after the tweaks rolled out today, it is stellar.

Youtube - 1080p60 streaming flawlessly
Twitch.tv - either high or source quality streams flawlessly

Downloads via NNTP or Torrents are maxing out my line.
I'm on the 10Mbps Business Uncapped, it may also help that I am about 1km from the exchange in my area..

If you still don't want to go with Afrihost then check out the special by VOX, 100GB fatpipe for R164, special ends this month and then will be reviewed after 12 months...

I'm on AH and suffer day in day out. Online gaming is a misery. Ping reaches over 3600msec at times. Happens on a daily basis. I'm on capped 100gb account as the days of endless downloading has basically come to an end. YouTube stutters a helluva lot at 1080. Constant buffering. Been on the phone with them countless times, nothin has been sorted. Tried different routers, still the same problems. They then told me to wait till they upgrade their infrastructure. How is that a fix? Only happened in the last few months. Also to lazy to move over to a different isp. Downloading doesn't seem to b a problem. But I do mostly online gaming, which really sux at anytime of the day...

Maybe try the VOX 100GB fatpipe option, unshaped data, I'm currently using it as my backup account....Works flawlessly man...Oh, I forgot to mention that data carries over to the next month if you don't finish your cap for the month...

You cancel with Afrihost before the 25th and sign up with VOX now....You will pay pro rata for the remainder of this month with VOX, by my guess it would work out to R50 for the remainder of this month and you will get about 20GB's of data for July....You have like an hour to cancel before you lose out on this special...

afrihost & axxess both bad, cant play quakelive even
yes vox 100gb fatpipe is blerry good lekker :price

Thanks for all the replies guys. I needed all the info I could get I dont want to sign up for one and then cancel and sign up and cancel again etc. With AH I feel its a hit or miss, really kak for othrs and great great for us lucky ones.... no middle ground. Ran some more tests comparing Vox and AH: Vox average ping to a local server is about 12ms while AH is about 14ms, however Vox network seems erratic-speedtest shows a very mountaneous graph while AH is completely flat. Im not sure what difference this makes in the real world applications. Anyway, I think I will go with Vox, mainly because AH's double data deal may fall away in December which will make AH more expensive in terms of price per Gb and by then Vox's fatpipe 100 promotion would have expired.
