Item Wanted: Broken VGA cable for the connector (male)
Packaging Essential: None
Desired Age: None
Location: Cape Town
Willing to accept a shipped item: No (unless free)
Ballpark/Budget Amount: Free
I wasn't sure where the correct place to post this is (PIF?). I wouldn't know what I can give of similar worth to a broken cable (PS/2 keyboard?), that's why I didn't put it in PIF, and I'm not even sure if requests are even allowed there. I'll delete this post immediately if it's not allowed.
I'm looking for a donor VGA cable for the connector. My church is using a 30m VGA cable from a VGA splitter at the back of the church to the overhead projector in front. Being very much on a budget (low income area, only handful pay tithes), our first resort is always to improvise and work with what we have. The VGA connector at the AV desk side is missing some pins, so the RED signal doesn't go through to the projector anymore (red hearts show as black, and fair skinned people have a greenish tint). I watched a few YouTube videos on how to repair / replace the connector, now I just need a spare VGA male connector end, with about 15cm of cable still attached to work with. I haven't had luck asking the people at church.
FYI
