Got scammed by Del88

Description of Bad Deal:
I was in need of a motherboard and Del88 reached out to me saying he had a b350 tomahawk, anyways after back and forth I got the motherboard as promised and I was super stoked not knowing that he has given me a dead motherboard even after saying it was working. I went to computer mania to complete my build they built it but the pc didn't post and I was upset and after a few days it turns out the mobo was dead. I message Del88, (Denton) for a refund explaining the situation and he didnt respond after multiple calls and texts he still hasn't done anything obviously avoiding me. Avoid Del88 as he is a scammer and I see I'm not the first!

This is now the 4th instance of you apparently sending something not in the condition you described it in. I thought we went over this?

To be clear, this is the same guy who bought my card, opened it up, worked on it and then swoped it for another 6900xt only to convince the adminis that I'm somehow responsible for the card and had to refund the other guy he scammed with my card which he opened and broke. I did the refund to avoid the ban. He's been causing shit since day 1.

Sorry for the late reply firstly to the OP. You offered R800 i told you because i cant t3st it as i dont have a cpu to test it ill let it go for R600 or R650. As i got that pc as part of a deal working. Most of the stuff was sold already just had the board and case left. You were fine with that. You received the board 2 days before i asked if you got it you said yes. Almost 2 weeks later i get a call from computer mania saying the board doesnt work. If i got this call a day or two or even 3 i wouodve been fine with it. And refunded you

Yes he recived the case we spoke and his happy with it. Had a issue with pudo hence the delay which he also didnt mention.

No dont come try and put this on me,

i never opened that card you recieved that card back from someone you sold it to here, who had issues with the card.

You then said you cleaned it out and it worked how did you clean it? Was it dirty when you recieved it back? Or what did you do exactly.

Because you gave it to me it was working yes not sure how cleaning a card magically makes it work. This issue was resolved so not sure why you have a 2 cents.

I totally inderstand what this looks like, yes and i understand what you saying and i wont deny anything.

How ever the gpu issue really wasnt on me @DavoYE needs to explain how 3 cards not 1 but 3 cards is defective i recieved from him? Then he has yhe nerve to lie and tell me the 3rd card is not from the same batch he gave the first 2 cards from. All mined cards. And then offer 7k refunds for cards that was paid 9500 for. Im at a loss on it aswell as @TRINITRON

This board issue i was clear the board is untested and OP was fine with it.

Im not sure or cant recall the other instances just been a hectic two weeks

You're correct in saying "what this looks like", and what it looks like is that you, again, sold a piece of hardware without testing it, and you're hiding behind it. The kid didn't build the machine himself, he took it to a computer store, so waiting a bit for feedback is quite expected. They probably took a while to get all the parts, started building when they got time and found the board is dead.

This is not the first time you're selling something and simply state you "can't test it". To put the blame on someone else now and say they knew the risk is not going to cut it this time. Refund him today still.

I really appreciate your help @Toxxyc, @Del88 Please refund me this is not fair that you had to do this, you knew what you were doing. I was so excited to get my pc built and when it didn't post they spent days trying to fix it, thanks Simon (He is on Carbonite don't know his tag) the technician for helping me, he spent a lot of time trying to figure out what is wrong out of his kindness and it was dead. There is no way it was working the last time you had it, you lied. I have now had to fork out another R1500 which I don't have (borrowed from my parents) to buy another motherboard. I would appreciate you to refund me. I told you as soon as I found out, and you still have not responded to me on Whatsapp which was last Monday. Thanks again @Toxxyc for helping me resolve this issue.

It was not that late, I went to Computer mania as soon as I got it through pudo locker, and I came the following day to collect it to find a nasty surprise, that the pc wasn't working. So we phoned you then.

GTX 1650 Super Gaming X
B450 Aorus Elite V2 Mobo
Ryzen 5 1600 AF
Kingston HyperX Fury Beast 8gb 3600mhz ram running at 2133mhz with:
2x8gb kingston 2133mhz value ram
So 24gb 2133mhz ram.
I'm thinking of selling my gtx 1650S for 1800 to buy a gtx 1660 super.
