CCTV deal gone bad

He told me that the bundle was on hold for someone. Then after a while he said I can buy some of the cameras as for the interested party did not want it anymore... Had an agreement, then will be sorted as soon he is back. I even went and source a NVR. Then when he eventually answered ME, he said that the bundle was sold, but he have more cameras and will get back to me. May b something happened to him, Cause till now I have no reply as well.
 
I have had multiple deals with @johnknight, something might just be up his side,
i did message him to come to the party,

I think his rating speaks for itself and yeah, something must be up.

But a response here doesn't take long and will go a long way in clearing the air. Even if he has a tragedy he is dealing with, just post it here and ask for a week or two.
 
I also suspect something's just wrong. But he's been online, apparently, and that's what bugs me.
 
Got a whatsapp reply this morning:

I apologize for only getting back to you now.
Things have been crazy and I do apologise for my poor communication.
I have narrowed the problem down to a faulty NVR of which I will be receiving the replacement tomorrow. I have been assured that the NVR is working perfectly and will then be shipping it off for you on Friday morning.

I do apologise once again for the delay and will have this sorted for you asap.

  • The accused has one week to respond to a Bad Deals thread to begin the process of resolving the issue. If no attempt is made, the accused will be permanently banned. The exception is where we will suspect a member of scamming others as well, where such an account will be banned permanently and immediately.

These Bad Deals are similar in court judgements as it shows members what is expected of them and therefore serve as a guide and warning to others on how to handle bad deals etc.

I believe @johnknight should still respond here even if privately sorted out with buyer and state what is up and what happened to clear the air.
 
Yeah look, @johnknight would do good to post here. I'm fairly sure there will be a good explanation for the radio silence, but there's a lot in the air here, and the silence is currently deafening.

Did he ship it off on Friday morning?
 
@nicodium I'd suggest going to SAPS and making a case against this individual. He doesn't seem like he's willing to come to the party, and there's no communication from his side. Send me a PM with the info and I'll share everything I have on @johnknight.

I'm banning him from Carbonite.
 
Out of interest. Has he ever paid you back or sent you the stuff?
