Description of Bad Deal: So I bought a gaming wheel from @Theos and all was good ([Sale] - Logitech G923 Racing wheel (Xbox/PC) + Pedals | Peripherals). He briefly showed me his VR kit and told me he wanted to sell it, I was interested in the accessories and later my friend wanted a VR headset which led me to buy it from @Theos. I saw it before in person but didn't see it on till I got home after he was paid, this was last Sunday. I have one of my own which is why my friend wanted one as well. (Just to clarify I was working middle man, my friend has no idea who I was working with or about the complications because I took full responsibility for the deal. He pays money into an account and then receives headset he was promised, so I ended up having to give him my headset that I got here: [Sale] - Oculus Quest 2 - Advanced All-In-One Virtual Reality Headset - 128 GB | Other).
Sunday, when I fetched it, @Theos showed me all the bits and bobs, put the headset on himself, and told me that all was working perfectly. We both disassembled all the extra stuff, I the controllers (they had grips with slings on) and he took the aftermarket head strap and battery bank of the quest 2. When I got home I put on the original head strap and when I tested it I noticed some fuckery on the right lens, like a white mark on the top left, bottom left, and far right. It was only visible in dark areas or if you turned the headset on and saw the Oculus logo with the dark background. I was a bit confused at first and put it down to double-check it later (was really out of it and it was late). Monday morning I look at it again just to see if it wasn't just dirt or muck or my eyes doing weird shit. Cleaned it with a microfiber cloth and was still there so I contacted @Theos, you can see how it went in the WhatsApp messages (sensitive info is blurred) In the google drive link here: <redacted>. Currently, he has the Headset. He has for now agreed to pay me back minus the 1k I offered him for sympathy, after I retract the offer. Right now I'm waiting for the money to reflect but I am not too sure what to make of this. Have a putrid taste in my mouth over this and I didn't sleep a wink last night it stressed me out so much. Right now it looks to be sorted but I am not happy about it atm. In many words, he blames me for the damage to the headset.
UPDATE: Today I got paid 8k of the 9k that was paid for the headset. I'll leave it at that, though I am considering giving a bad review. Was shit I didn't need to stress over but the case is closed now.
