please give some background on the bolded/underlined bit? was it sent in for repairs or what?

I had the card and it was giving me hassles. Took it to Silverlight and he tested it for me. Sent it to prophecy and used their service to test it 'officially'.
The card was found to be faulty and then it was RMA'd. The suppliers eventually gave me a brand new card that hasn't been used yet.
