Overview:

I'm selling my massive Nintendo Switch V1 collection. It's worth over R40 000 and I'm willing to slash my prices heavily in order to see it all go to a good home.

This deal is perfect for a parent seeking to spoil their kids lovingly for Christmas, a local entrepreneur who runs a 2nd hand videogame store, or a wife seeking to spoil her manchild.

I'm offering the V1 switch with an account that has over 70 games, 2 carry cases, some collectables, as well as an extra set of controllers (4 Joy-Cons total, all refurbished and upgraded with anti-drift analogs), and a stack of physical games in addition to a massive memory card for all the digital games.

The situation of the sale and device condition:

The device was always kept in its bag and I monitored its battery levels religiously to ensure it never fully depleted yet never remained full or empty for extended periods. I even did the same with the Joy-Cons. Hell, I even avoided playing it in warm weather to prevent the cooling fan from being taxed.

Ultimately, I'd classify the condition of the device as "good as new" as my efforts in refurbishing and maintaining it were quite successful. The battery doesn't feel like it aged and I'd say it can still reach the original 2 to 6 hours of function. I recently played Skyrim for about 3 hours before it started complaining, which was always the usual time. It was charged about 92% at the time so I feel it still reflects the battery life accurately.

In essence, this device and everything I'm selling is in very good condition. (With the exception of the large carry case, which has 2 scuff marks).

The device was purchased in 2019. Most accessories were purchased in the same year or 2020.

I also performed a few key upgrades:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-The rail holding clips in the grey joy cons were replaced with metallic ones, preventing long-term wear and allowing them to still hold the switch stably when inserted. I have more metallic clips for the other yellow Joy-con pair yet avoided their insertion as the procedure was a bit too high effort for a pair I only ever let my friends use. You may have these clips if you wish to insert them yourself yet I made sure to avoid wearing out the yellow Joy con clips by keeping the buttons depressed whenever possible during insertion.

- I placed pads under the joysticks of all joy cons, thereby removing the common stick drift issue. It works quite well and seems like a stable fix. I'd say all Joy Con's had their sticks replaced about twice prior to this procedure. None of them drift now and I suspect they never will.

-I used tempered glass for the screen cover as it is more resistant to scratching than the usual plastic screen protectors. I have a spare glass replacement kit that is included. The screen is therefore in mint condition.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My long-term plan was to hack the device and turn it into a retro-gaming device filled with all sorts of old Nintendo, PSP, Playstation, DS, Xbox games. This is quite possible since this is the original switch model that still has the old processor, which is easily hackable with an online kit. This is something that you can do if you wanted to.

Lastly, I have an utterly massive online account collection. It has about 29 AAA games and 41 Indie games and I estimate that it cost me about R35 000 over the years. Of course... I don't expect you to pay full price for this and have already decided to heavily reduce the price.

I'm effectively selling all I have at just over 70% off of what I paid for it.

Collection Contents and Prices

-Online account
The account comes with the switch and has an utterly massive collection. Technically Nintendo doesn't allow this, but they won't know since it'll be the same account on the same switch in the same country, I'll just change some of the info and will assist in any account transfer steps. Just make sure you never tell Nintendo.

The account has 29 AAA games and 41 Indie games, I did the math and it adds up to just over R35 000 in value. This account has a LOT of games. Luckily for you, I don't expect you to pay 35K for it. ;)

Ok. Now for my collection of physical games. I wanna sell these with the switch if possible to add to the bundle value, yet will sell them separately if a decent price is offered.

Games (Physical):
-Diablo III Eternal collection (R700)
-Doom 2016 release (R900) Note: This is very hard to get now, so the price drop is low. This is a rare item.
-Monster Hunter Rise (R700)
-Spyro Reignited Trilogy (R150) Note: Sadly cartridge only has 1st game, the rest is on my account, thus the low price.
-Donkey Kong tropical freeze (R700)
-Super Smash Bros Ultimate (R750) Note: this comes with a steel case as it was the release edition
-Bayonetta 2 (R200) Note: Similar to Spyro, game 1 is on my account
-Zelda breath of the wild (R900)
-Starlink Battle for Atlas (R400) Note: This was a special edition and came with a unique controller as well as toys that interact with the joy-con radio sensors. Rather useless yet makes a good display item, paperweight, or child's toy

Physical games bundle total = (R5400)
Note: I may choose to omit Bayonetta 2 or Spyro and give it to whoever is taking the account, since those games have elements that are linked to it. We will adjust prices for this. This bundle may be purchased separately from the rest.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Console bundle:
-Large hard-cover carry bag by Smatree: (R150) Note: It does have some scuff marks. Still looks good tho... Condition = used
-Smaller hard cover switch case: (R100) Note: designed to fit into the larger case. Excellent condition
-Sandisk Ultra 400GB A1 XC1 micro SD card (R650)
-Joy-con pair (left and right) Neon Yellow (R900)
-Charge controller add-on for joy-cons (R300)
-Nintendo Switch with grey joy cons (R4000)

97tM5Hc.jpg

Note: as mentioned, the joy cons were all upgraded to remove drift and the grey ones have metal clips to negate wear and tear when sliding into the switch/controller add-on. It also comes with a white USB-C cable so that one controller can charge while playing. I'm throwing all this in free. Everything that I got in the original box is a part of this bundle. I have an extra set of metal clips for the yellow Joy-cons as well as a spare analog stick in case you want to tinker with the device yourself. There is also an additional charge controller for the second set of Joy-Cons.

Console bundle total = (R6100)

G6QesFf.jpg

Total for both bundles together (games and console, omitting the online account) = (R11 500)
Let's add R1000 for the R35 000 valued digital account of games...

Total = R12 500

I'm selling all I have for R12 500. This represents a massive reduction in what you would normally pay for a switch bundle like this that was taken very good care of and is effectively in near-perfect condition. You can hack it to your heart's content and put PS3 games on it, keep it near the TV to play some Mario Kart with friends at a braai, or give it to your cluster of kids as there are ample controllers to go around.

I will only work with instant EFT payments. I know my user score is low but it's not my fault I'm new. This is a large sale and a serious offer. I will need money first before I ship anything anywhere. We can undergo whatever trust exercise you need to have first, but money first is my core rule.

I'm an honest guy trying to sell his pile of shame and will only work with other honest people.

This is bugging me more than it should
Spyro isn't linked to your account, it's just a game that requires a large download, anyone can buy it from you and play all 3 games.

Bayonetta 1 was a code that was redeemed on your account so its linked to it, Bayonetta 2 is a separate game entirely, bayonetta 1 doesn't require owning the cartridge of bayonetta 2

Lol I get why its bugging you. You are technically correct

The reason I used the word "linked" was simply because the spyro game has 3 games, all of which are accessed from one "app". The card has the first game, but the other two must be downloaded.

In other words: you can't play 2 and 3 without the card, even though they exist digitally on the switch. Since I don't know how Ubisoft tracks the downloads of the 2nd and 3rd game, I chose to play it safe and argue they are linked to save words and manage people expectations regarding the 2nd or 3rd games, which I don't know will work.

Like... They probably will work if we use videogame logic from the early 2000s.

Sadly... it is the year 2023, and the publishers may be tracking/preventing cross account downloads.

This version of the switch is not exploitable as indicated by the seller. Currently working with him to see how this can be resolved.

Did you verify this using the serial number?

Serial Number does come up with a warning indicating there will be limited success. Injecting Hekate via TegraRcm confirmed this that it wont work.
Had quite a few CFW V1's before.

Can be hard modded though. That's probably a late patched V1
yes I think this is the case. As far as my knowledge went it should be hackable but wasn't aware a few of the late V1s had this problem at the time of posting. I was under the impression all V1s can be hacked

Feedback removed, keeping the unit until I can find a CFW V1 switch.

was it a negative feedback? as seller stated
"This is quite possible since this is the original switch model that still has the old processor, which is easily hackable with an online kit. This is something that you can do if you wanted to."

So it still could be a place for it
