As stated in the title what Telkom package is decent for getting good connection 4gaming and is cheap..
Im just having some trouble looking for different packages that have relatively good speed with good gaming ping that is quite cheap too...
Im just looking around for when i move out im going to need internet. AND NO DIAL-UP!!!! must be ADSL

If you could tell me some of your own packages that would also help.
P.S not too sure if im ment to add something else to help your answer but just let me know
Thanks

also why is mweb's 384kbps line the same price as their 1Mbps line.. Both R199 p/m

they trying to make 1mps min speed, telkom may upgrade 384 to 1mps in june.

Get uncapped dude. Capped internet is a waste in my opinion. I am on mwebs 4Mbps uncapped package for R900 a month basically. I download roughly 180-200 gigs a months, and have never been "shaped". Also, they have bumped the majority up to 6Mbps on the 4 meg lines.

The pricing on the 1 Meg line packages have been dropped due to ISP's trying to make 1Mbps the norm in south africa. So a lot of them have already implemented it. Telkom is behind with that one. Maybe only in June, July will it come into affect.

Go the 4 Mbps route, if you can afford it. It's worthwhile over the 1Mbps packages, however it has the larger price tag associated with it. But who knows, it could drop in the future.

For uncapped, you can use as much as you want. According to their fair use policies. ISP's have different quotas but its more than enough before your speed gets brought down. And there are no contracts with most of them, just give a calender month notice.

cool thanks man.. although technically it is telkoms line that mweb and other ISP's are using so why the hell is telkom still charging more and keeping it the same.. they should have a discount coz your already paying telkom to do the installment..
