Support VIP Membership - Already had this in the past???

Hi

I need help with the VIP membership.
At some point around a couple years back it was provided to all long time members who had reached a certain score on the forum.

This membership came with some view perks, one of which was bumping of a thread daily and editing your own thread for a while.

I've had this since then and hadn't even realised that this must have changed at some point.
Was any notice given for this change and a formal decision taken by a committee to make this a paid feature for everyone again?

Just curious, is the hosting really costing so much that this was dropped for long time members?

Since day one you had paid VIP and automatic VIP.

The automatic VIP is not a lifelong upgrade, we change the requirements as needed. What's the point of VIP if within a year or 2 everyone is a VIP?

I cannot comment on the hosting costs, that's for @Ageless_ZA to discuss. But the point is, that you get a free platform, and we ask you to pay for extra features/benefits.

A committee? LOL! No, I change it as I see fit. More activity = VIP perks. Not just get it once and then languish for all eternity.

I made the change awhile back as @ViVceptioN linked above.

Same, points requirement is gona have to be raised a few times still before I have to start paying for mine <3

Hey all

Ah fantastic, I just didn't realise it was changed and couldn't find the thread about it. (Partly because I wasn't sure where to even look 🤣🤣)

Valid reason for changing it if a lot of members had reached 5000 point level!
I'll see what I need to do to achieve the 7000 points as I enjoyed the perks of VIP!
