Just wondering what everyone's experience with Redragon is? My perception was that they were cheap, low quality, you get what you pay for kinda stuff.

Took a chance and bought a keyboard from them due to lack of availability of wireless mechanical full (as in not TKL etc.) keyboards aside from some super pricey models. Their local website (which I assume is a reseller or supplier of sorts) states they have a money back guarantee (of course that might not be worth much, anyone returned anything or had them make good on this policy?).

Anyway, as I said I took a chance and bough a Horus wireless keyboard, the full size one. And not gonna lie, I am impressed, time will tell of course with respect to how long it would last but that said even the pricier peripherals I've bought over my many years had issues over time. But this keyboard is great, aluminium frame, swappable kaps and switches, feels very nice, types nice (still getting used to it, a lot more sensitive than I am used to but I really like it).

For some it might be an issue that you can't control or sync the lighting effects with other things using software etc. but I rather like that they're built into the keyboard so no extra software or bloatware to install and at the end of the day I am not looking for effects. Either a soft backlight glow or the current setting which I like, each button I press lights up on each keypress, nothing special but it's useful for typing passwords so I can see if each press registered properly (lol).

Anyway, curious if anyone else has experience with Redragon because I am suitably impressed, I really thought I would end up returning it but it's a keeper.

How are their mice because now I am tempted to give them a try.

I've heard better things recently. I owned a Redragon membrane KB and a 2 sets of headphones (warranty replacement) and they were both cheap and mediocre quality. I wouldn't buy them again based on my personal experience.

One of my collegues purchased this model:

Very happy with the design and build quality for the price, she even mentioned that she would buy additional one just for a spare as it works great for office use.

As for the gaming mice, customers have had good experiences with Redragon mice from our side.

customers tend to purchace these models.

If you are willing to wait for the G49 in Q3, rather have a look at that.

(If this is your taste)

Cool, good to know, as I said I am suitably impressed with the keyboard, it's awesome. Not just for the price, but overall.

Might just give one of those mice a try, definitely cheaper than replacing my G502 with another of the same and worst case scenario I have a spare mouse (at least twice in my life i have wished I had a spare).

My main gripe at the moment though is the horrible logo (IMHO) bu that's easy enough to deal with, already getting a custom cover made for the one on my keyboard.

Oh, although I would add that I probably wouldn't buy their headsets either, or pretty much any "gaming" headset, but that's because I am a bit of an open back headphone "snob". Not to say I would only get expensive headphones, there are some great value for money audio headphones that aren't "gaming" headphones, although I do recall at one stage (and the brand escapes my mind) but there were some headphones that were rebranded audiophile (well, I use it loosely but to distinguish between "gaming" headphones) that were actually great for the money.

Myself and my son use the Kumara mech keyboards and also RD mice. Can't recall which models but will to check (okay, mine is a Cobra, I looked quick).

They've survived fine between heat, cold, food, drinks etc (no pubes though @Mk1MiLAN 🤣 ).

Will happily buy RD again.

Probably the HyperX Cloud, which is a rebrand of the Takstar Pro 80. Pretty great as far as gaming headsets go Could also be the Samson SR850, which is based on the KG K240 but more V-shaped.

Yeah, I am like so impressed. I mean I wouldn't randomly go and make a thread about a brand but I wasn't expecting much. I am a (or lol, at least I think so) savvy buyer, I don't kid myself that more expensive means better or that just because some name brand (e.g. Logitech etc.) makes a keyboard that it would necessarily be better, but likewise I wouldn't necessarily trust some random three letter string brand from Temu.

This Horus keyboard is probably the second best typing experience I have ever had. The best typing experience is unfortunately not really viable for home use since at work I get to use "the world's most expensive keyboard". (Ok, a facetious hyperbole since technically you aren't buying the Keyboard, it is a Bloomberg keyboard that comes with an annual Bloomberg license, which isn't cheap, and as far as I can tell it isn't a mechanical keyboard, but it is actually great to type with).

Yes, it was the HyperX Cloud. Was pretty much the only "gaming" headset that would be recommended from audio/headphone "purists". But likewise I mean people should get what they enjoy.

Oh, and I have a pair of those Samsons as a spare, great value for money open back sets. V shaped yes but I am not opposed to doing some EQ to match preference.

My experience basically, needed a quick cheap keyboard once upon a time, got this and hated the brand from then, the newer high end stuff looks really good though

Purchased one of their gaming wireless mice in 2020. Had endless problems then.
Took it back to Incredible Connection who I bought it from who refused to assist and told me I must deal with the local agent directly.
This was Syntech at the time

Initially attempting to get a response was painful, upwards of a month from when originally logged.
They ended with that I must return it to where I bought it and switch to another brand.

So, yeah, haven't touched Redragon since considering their support was useless and local supplier has 0 faith in the brand.

TL; DR - Terrible support from Redragon has put me off the brand for life
