Seller: @Manimal
Buyer: @Japes1312
Description of Bad Deal:
I posted an ad yesterday that I'm looking for a 4th Gen 4790. @Manimal sent me a private message saying that he had a 4790k processor and will be happy to sell it to me. We then proceeded to talk on Whatsapp. He sent me photos that looked real (attached). I reverse searched the images on google and nothing came up so I thought it was legit. He was being the typical nice afrikaans guy. He asked me to send him the cash via Standard Banks instant money service. This made me a bit suspicious so I asked if he could send me a photo of his ID so that I know he is legit. He then sent me a photo of an ID (attached). I highly doubt it is this guy. Anyway to my regret I ended up sending him the money and he disappeared with his last excuse being that he is in traffic and his battery is going to die. I looked through the bad deals thread and there are a few cases (for example (Don't trust FuriousMatty | Bad Deals) extremely similar to this which makes me believe this is not the first time he scammed on carbonite. He is a very persuasive dude with an afrikaans accent. I am going to open a case of fraud after my last exam on Saturday but I need all the information I can get. I was hoping an admin could give me the email linked to his account?
