Hi all.

I have tried to discuss this with the selling but we both ended up deciding to add it here and let you guys decide what the story is.

I bought a 64GB SSD off of BlackAdept and I received the package at the post office about an hour or so ago.
When I got the package it felt quite light for an SSD but when feeling with my hands I could not make out for certain what was inside so I asked the post office lady to double check everything looks correct with the package before opening it.

Upon opening it I found an empty white envelope bent in half that was opened, so I asked the lady what the hell is this and she asked what should be inside the package and I said a hard drive, we then noticed the package is marked at 24grams which makes it impossible to of had an SSD in it at the time it was sent. I asked her to weight it on her scale and the complete package with the white envelope weights 30 grams (6 grams difference which can come down to the scales from the sender and her scale being a little off but not enough for an entire SSD)

When I told BlackAdept about this over whatsapp he insisted he had packaged the SSD inside the white envelope.
But my points are:
1. How can the weight be 24grams yet have an SSD in it.
2. How could the inside package be tampered with after sending if the outside package was not tampered with (confirmed at the post office when they inspected the package that the outside package was not tampered with)
I did ask the lady at the post office to give me a letter confirming it was not tampered with but she said they not allowed to do anything unless they can see evidence of the package being tampered with and to them and myself the outside package was perfectly fine.

No, I am not saying Name on purpose sent me an empty package but we are all human and can make the mistake, the evidence I have just in this post for me points to him mistakenly sending an empty package which I feel he needs to own up to and not blame the post office.

This is my first experience like this on carb so if I have not explained everything enough please feel free to ask me and I will gladly show anything else I need to show from my side.
I am just extremely upset about this but please, I am not blaming Name for scamming me I just feel everything points to him making an honest mistake that he needs to fix.

I think you are referring to someone else and not me as i havent sold a 64GB SSD.

I want to sincerely apologize for tagging the incorrect person at first in this post, yesterday when I did it I was extremely upset and both names started with "B" and were right by each other under my inbox.
I have since received a phone call and refund from the seller, so all is well now.

Indeed, thanks guys. BlackFang, sorry for pulling you into this.

BlackAdept after digging a bit, I want your side, please. This is the first Bad Deal opened against you, and you can be damn lucky so far. This is the second report this week of shitty dealings this week I've received where you were the seller. According to reports you "sent the package" and then you actually never sent it in the first place, making the buyer wait longer than agreed. This one also happened to be empty upon arrival. Just refunding doesn't make this right.

What's your input on this?

Reading this thread just points out why taking pictures of packages before sending it is so important. Just glad that it is something I do always. =AFW= ABILITY Glad you came right bro.

There were pictures. They were removed to protect identities and addresses.

Buyer contacted me via PM wanting to buy the 64GB SSD I advertised on one of my threads, well after the buyer had transfer the funds I waited for the funds to reflect on my account and later confirmed to him that I had received the funds. Our agreement was that I would ship off the drive the very same morning the funds reflected on my account but got busy ended up shipping the drive 2 days later. Sent the waybill to the buyer and all was smooth.

Yesterday received a text from the buyer notifying me that he had received the package without an SSD, and yes of-course an argument via whatsapp ensured whereby I asked the buyer to put me online with the lady at the post office but he told me he had left 30mins ago:disturbed:

I asked the buyer to post the issue on bad deals section and let MODs rule over it but I later thought to myself if this dude is trying to get off with pilfering, so let it be I will not let my name be dragged into some muddy puddles over such an amount. I later thought it was wise of me to refund this buyer and get on with my business.

Sorry about the late shipping and will try and ship off items in time next time

To all the other guys I haven't dealt with before and might be willing to buyer stuff from me, just note that I will only ship off items via TCG/Postnet henceforth:D

I am entirely pissed off about this, I shipped the drive off to the buyer even though it might have taken me some few days to ship the drive

Thanks for the reply. I urge you to pull up your socks - if you promise to ship off an item, you do so. If you don't, you let the buyer know. If you don't even have the items to ship, you don't tell the buyers that "I'm on my way to ship right now" or come up with excuses like "they were closed when I got there". You play open cards. Both these buyers approached me because of your good rep on Carbonite (being afraid they'll be called wrong), but no more.

As a PS: How do you not realize that a 26g package weight is a bit too light to contain a SSD?

If I look closely at the waybill I notice that its not 24grams as suggested by the buyer but rather 84grams. I understand this issue is just a confusing one as I will defend myself because I know definitely for sure I shipped the drive off to the buyer and I'm sure the buyer is determined that I made a mistake while shipping off the drive hence I refunded him.

I apologize once again for not playing my cards open with other buyers and will make sure I keep constant comms if any problems may arise in-regards to shipping

Actually, I think all is just happy it played out well. I'm closing this thread since it was resolved amicably!
