Possible Delays

As you know, there is some major protest action happening in KZN, Gauteng and other parts of the country. Almost all suppliers in Gauteng and Durban have advised that there may be slight delays in getting orders out as they will not be sending their drivers out and/or closing early in the interests of staff safety.

Couriers have advised that they will assess the situation as the day goes, and act accordingly.

AT THIS STAGE couriers are not expecting delays from their side, but road closures and violent action may change that without warning.

Further delays may be experienced - one of the largest distributors in the country (large enough to be listed on the JSE) had their Durban branch burnt to the ground last night.

No current orders are affected by damage, but as a result they have closed all branches of their child company (another massive distributor) for the day - I don't understand the logic here as they themselves are operating at all other branches while their unaffected child company has shut down countrywide - but there are outstanding orders with the Midrand branch of their child company which will be delayed by a day.

We do have alternative distributors for most components, but not all. As such, orders placed today will remain largely unaffected unless things change.
