Following this entire thread and having had an 3770 with a 980ti, BF5 played very nicely and I had no problems at all. I was running two sticks of 8gb DDR3 1600.
It’s your RAM limit, not your CPU. BF5 runs well only pretty much any CPU.
The only reason why your CPU is running so high is because it’s trying to push and pull data from your drive to your RAM whilst being limited. It has to work harder to cache the data to the page file and that’s whats also slowing your system down.
If you were to buy more RAM, I’d suggest just getting an entirely new rig unless you can get some DDR3 on the cheap. I got my 2 sticks at R400, each.
The biggest expense of new systems is the RAM and CPU. You already have a 1080ti.
Get 16gigs of 3200CL14 Samsung B die and pair it with an AMD 2600.

That's exactly the reason I want to try out a 27" Dell 2560x1440p g-syc and see what happens performance wise jumping from 1080p too 1440pIdeally the best way to fix bottlenecking is a higher resolution...
What RAM sticks do you have ?
as the cost for a new rig is about R8k atm which I dont have, and will have to wait until June to do.
Can you run passmark and post your score by any chance.
I think passmark GPU score are affected by CPU botttlenecks. That's what happened to me anyways.
3rd Gen gpu only good up until 1070ti.
Thought there was something wrong with the 1080ti I got, but after looking at the rigs of people who scored similar to me they had the same cpu.
PassMark - GeForce GTX 1080 Ti - Price performance comparison
I expect you to score around 12500

Your answer lies here.Yes I have, used it in my mates i7 7700 build with 32GB Ram and we gain about 20fps on average - checked online benchmarks and this card can push around 144fps easily in ultra on PUBG
Your answer lies here.
After putting it in better system the Fps only went up 20,which is prob thanks to the cpu.
Your card is borked.
Put a weaker card in your system and see what happens.

I have only read bits and pieces of this thread.

Oh crap... I bought it off carb... And and I ran all the GPU benchmarks n it's on par with many of them.
I will double check everything today.
how sure are we that it is the GPU ? and not my CPU ?? is there any more tests I can run to compare... the RMA is in German and supplier is in Capetown...so before I send it all the way there is there any more test I can do to make sure it is the GPU 100%
