Mweb 1mb uncapped for R199pm

Hey guys, I saw this on FB and thought I should share it with everyone here.
I've had the mweb 1mb uncapped line since it came out and I'm very happy with it. I get constant download speeds of 110kbps.

I will also probably get an MWEB uncapped account...Telscum is FINALLY (well, they promised to) coming to install my ADSL tomorrow...after....wait for it....1 year and 5 months after first submitting my order...It felt almost like winning a jackpot at the casino when I got the call that they coming...imagine how FAIL a countries broadband must be that a person can actually get excited about getting their 1Mbps "broadband"...

Well before the price drop the account + ISP was R599, so it's a R111 saving.

Telkom 1mb ADSL Rental = R289
ADSL - Tariff List - Telkom SA Limited

Mweb 1mb uncapped ISP = R199
Total : R488 so you won't save anything on your dsl rental if you get it through Mweb.

However, keep in mind that Telkom are upgrading 384k customers to 1mb, and 1mb customers to 2mb, this means 1mb's adsl rental pricing will come down to R139 as well which means even more savings, and 1mb people will get 2mb for the same price.

Alternatively, if you don't want to wait, you can get the ISP part from Mweb (R199) and the line through Axxess (R249) Axxess DSL - ADSL Line Rental: from R139

That's another saving of R40.

I got the 4mb Uncapped account from MWEB now for two weeks and it is good so far with no issues whatsoever.

Very good priced and I get my full speed I'm paying.

Has this been confirmed now? I thought it was just a reliable rumor but telkom haven't denied or confirmed?

I am with mweb for my data and cyberdale(cybersmart?) for my line, so together its R445 now. If they upgrade 384k i will be over the moon, cause 1mb is decent enough and will be pretty cheap then

I'm using 1 meg and uncapped from axxess. My question is, if I get automatically upgraded to a 2 meg while paying the same line rental. Will the ISPs accomodate the movement without a price hike too? (Get 2 mb uncapped for what I'm paying now.)

Thats up to the ISP, possibly, but i doubt it as the price was aimed originally at 512k line which was upgrade by telkom and ISP's for free.

Thats why i think Mweb charge R200 for one meg now so they can bump the price a bit if 2mb lines come out.
