I definitely don't have R15k lying around. But hey if your offering I wont say no!So that mean you getting it?
I saw the samsung but the 27" is the only issue really. 30"+ for me.

Still debating with myself what to buy. I want to get something that will work for atleast the next 5 years (Doubt 4k 144hz will be cheap anytime soon)
Looking at this as well. Has a nicer design and 1ms response time. Maybe worth being patient and saving up the extra 2k for it?

Does Gsync work with the 27" M2A1R as well, or just the 31,5"?
EDIT:
NVM, read the thread.
So adaptive sync will only really be useful under 60FPS? Is that a fair assumption?
Just ordered the 31.5 from Rebeltech. 🙃It's useful all the time technically. But that's where it shines, the rest of the time it just eliminates some minor tearing.
Dunno whether the 27" also can that said I would rather take Samsung's CJG50 with no sync tech at all if you need 27" because VA.

1) I get this issue on some games. I sometimes play games in windowed mode so that I can operate on my second screen between games without minimizing the game.Who is experiencing hertz dropping from 144hz down to 67hz in game?
I found if I'm in the games menue I'm running at 112hz.
So I switch my screen of and back on to have my in game settings changed to 60hz.
So I change it manually back to 144hz. This is happening all the time in game only. Emailed photos to Mustek.
Drop me pm if you are experiencing the same issues.

Led is the light at the back of the monitorFinally bought this Monitor, Wow I am impressed. Best 6k ever spend.
Coming from a 27" 1080P, This is a totally different experience.
My impressions:
Only con i really have is the OSD buttons and menu is a bit Meh. But you don't use this every day in any case.
- PPI is very good, Looks better in windows than my 1080P 27" - Very sharp - At arms length.
- Curvature is not to much, actually very nice for gaming.
- 144HZ is insane, I could immediately see the difference dragging windows around in desktop.
- No issues what so ever so far, Setup and installation is very easy. No flickering etc like other users
- I run Freesync OFF.
- Cant see any noticeable Ghosting with current settings.
- Colors Pop more than my old DELL IPS.
- Thin bezels
- Solid build quality and stand.
- Integrated Power supply.
Settings:
Brightness 90
Contrast 50
DCR: OFF

Not bad at all for R6500 with shipping and import taxes
I think its the same Panel right? Not bad but....not necessarily any better...
I certainly can't see anything that would indicate different.I think its the same Panel right?
I'm thinking of buying the K3G3R, coming from a Samsung SA950 27inch I got in 2011. Any real issues with the monitor? I have been wanting to purchase a new monitor for years but always thought those 165hz Asus 27inch panels for R15k are a bit silly being that even at that crazy price point you are playing the panel lottery.
Also looking at buying one but only back in SA in two weeks.I'm thinking of buying the K3G3R, coming from a Samsung SA950 27inch I got in 2011. Any real issues with the monitor? That's been my issue, I want to get one panel that's gonna be great for a long time. Like the SA950 was one of the first 120hz monitors and its been great. Is VA much worse then IPS? I can get a K3G3R for around R6200 inc vat so it's the main reason I'm considering it.You're always playing the panel lottery. Whether you pay 2K or 20K.
And trust me, those ASUS 27" IPS (actually 144Hz, the 165Hz is pointless) panels absolutely are worth their weight in gold.
That said the K3G3R should be an amazing upgrade for you. Res would improve, PPI would improve, panel type would improve drastically, not to mention that glorious size.

Apparently LG is coming out with an IPS panel or has come with one earlier this year that Asus etc will adopt into their new range of monitors.

Im guessing this Samsung uses the same panel? Only real difference would be tuning out the box?
About to pull the trigger on the K3 this week, wondering if the Samsung branded version would have better QC?
Ooh OK, the 34inch is a basic monitor. Thanks for the info.CJGs have NO synch tech.
Can't see the model on 34"?
Hi guys, I have now owned this monitor for 3 weeks or so and below are my findings:
* the colors are pretty good out of the factory but an adjustment going from an IPS monitor, I've played with these settings for weeks only to revert back to factory presets
* refresh rate works great as expected
* there are clear issues with ghosting on this VA panel which is expected, especially with smearing blacks in dark scenes and texture flickering on black to white contrast (i.e. Far Cry 5 at night, PUBG on Sanhok inside buildings, Skyrim at night) - this is even on the highest settings for response rate (fastest mode). I also found that the black smearing/ghosting is worse at 144 hz and better at 120 hz and below
* Freesync works as most other Gsync Compatible monitors - pretty good for the most part apart from the brightness flickering in menus etc. This basically happens on VA panels because at lower refresh rate the screen runs a bit darker/dimmer i.e. 60 hz and brighter above 90 hz, when the game fluctuates a lot like in menus (i.e. PUBG, Apex Legends) as the fps keep dropping to 30 fps and then up above 100 fps etc. - this is where the flickering is most evident. *I FOUND A SOLUTION THAT WORKS FOR THIS MONITOR* - so what I did to resolve this is the following to help those in need and this will most likely work for other Freesync monitors too: Download an application called CRU (free to download), open it, click on EDIT at the top, change your Freesync range from 48 - 146 to 90 - 146. Save and restart the PC, switch off monitor and on again and re-enable Gsync in the driver. Then in the Nvidia Control Panel make sure that you enable Vsync globally (this is the correct way to implement Freesync anyway, Vsync only engages out of the Freesync range so you'll still get no input lag between 90 and 141 fps). Then cap your fps in all games with Rivatuner (comes with MSI Afterburner) to 141 and keep your refresh rate on 144 hz. Most of the flickering will disappear as there are no crazy hz jumps anymore. Also, the great thing here is that if a game is running at 70 fps it will double up the hz and will run with Freesync at 140 hz if the game is at 65 fps, it will run at 130 hz and this will work dynamically. The dead zone will be between 73 and 89 fps where it will use Vsync instead (hardly noticeable but a good compromise to get Freesync working without flickering). My suggestion is frame lock more demanding games at like 65 fps for a smooth experience and the FPS games that are fast paced must run above 90 fps at all times - then issue resolved. I really hope this helps someone
* Here are all my settings that I use with this monitor after fiddling for days on end: Input DP, Brightness - 90, Contrast - 50, DCR - Off, Gamma - 2.4 (more accurate to sRGB, don't use 2.2 as this is an incorrect default setting, Color Temperature - Warm (tried calls and user and it just never looks right), the rest of the settings should be default here, don't fiddle with Saturation and Hue, leave at 50, Bypass - Off, Sharpness - 50, Response Time - High, Noise Reduction - Off, Super Resolution - Off, DLC - Off, FreeSync - On, The rest of the settings should be left on default
In summary, should you buy this monitor - well the answer is - it depends, this monitor is pretty much on par with more expensive VA panels and is almost half the price, so if you don't mind slow response times, black to white/gray to gray transitions and minor smearing/ghosting in dark scenes then this monitor is amazing for the price - large screen and curved, high refresh rate, 1440P, Freesync (after configuration), great contrast, good colors (albeit sometimes overly bright and washed out at times compared to IPS). You won't get bigger and better for this price unless you go TN panel which has it's own problems and poor viewing angles etc. If the smearing bothers you - don't buy a VA panel, rather save up and get an IPS instead.
I registered specifically to help people on this forum who own this monitor or are considering buying it. I thought I could be of help.
I just have to give credit where credit is due. @Zageroth, thanks so much for this insightful post. You really took the guess work out of it with your in-depth testing.
It's late at night but these settings worked indeed, for the games I currently play.
Thank you
