Bump. R2900 for the bundle. Final price drop. R1800 for the DAC, R1400 for the Amp.

What pots do the little dots use? I'm somewhat tempted but sourcing a replacement pot may be tricky.

What's wrong with the pot anyway?

The amp technician I spoke to last told me they are available locally, I'll check for you which they use and let you know.

It uses an alps 16 potentiometer. I'll check whether I can find a model no.

Amps are pretty simple. I've built a couple myself, including valve amps, and the Little Dots are no exception. Getting a good quality pot is important (Blue Velvets are winners - think I have an appropriate one lying around) and can be tricky, but you can source any old one that should do the job, at the expense of sound quality, fairly easily. The thing with valve amps is you're potentially working with some serious voltages inside, so you don't want to fiddle with the circuit if you don't know what you're doing.

I'll think about picking it up tonight and probably let you know whether I'll take it tomorrow.

Cool, if nothing else this has shown me hoe valuable diy knowledge can be :)

Amp repaired yet? I'm interested in the bundle...

I've ordered a replacement pot which I'll collect this week and update the thread once it's repaired.
