Okay, here's the deal.

I'm running Server 2008R2, JRE 8up191 and Ubiquiti Unified Controller. All works well, no issue, has been for near 2 years now.

This particular server looks at 4 different networks, over 4 network ports. Now, I want to install OpenNMS and one of the requirements is JDK. Must be Ver 10 or lower, limitation to the OS I believe.

Problem is, I cannot install JDK without borking JRE and the Unified controller. When JDK is installed, my AP's on the Unified networks drops off the network, disappears completely. AP's cannot find the controller. Other JRE related items also stops working, like for instance the Unified controller battles to start. Takes about 4 to 5 retries before I can get in and then the internals are a mess, nothing works. Take JDK off, everything goes back to normal.

Any ideas on how to make JRE and JDK work on the same server? I'm quite sure that they won't create software in the same company that's incompatible like that, so I guess I'm missing something. Unless you're Microsoft, cause Windows updates these days fucks up Office Licensing and all sorts of other issues with MS products.

Helps please!!!!
