Hi good people of Carbonite
I will be leaving SA permanently in April 2012, so I've got a lot of stuff to get rid of. I am hoping you will all help and will all find something useful. This is the first of many sales as I have two garden sheds full of stuff that needs to go as well as a lot of my household content.
Location
All items are located in Roodepoort, Johannesburg
Item #1 - DSTV Drifta
Age: 4 months
Packaging: FULL
Warranty: I think so
Used: Never, I just opened the box to inspect its contents, was planning to hack it but with MultiChoice going after me for hacking the DRM recently I just don't want to risk the jailtime
Price: R450
Item #2 - XBOX 360
Age: Unknown
Condition: R.R.O.D. (RED RING OF DEATH)
Includes: Console, Power brick, and A/V cable
Warranty: None
Note: Bought it from someone on Carbonite, now that I am leaving SA, I cannot take it with me to KiwiLand. It should be simple to repair this console because I got it to work by applying pressure to the top cover, it booted up without any RROD. Did this twice.
Price: R200 (offers accepted)
Item #3 - Zoltrix TV MAX tuner card
Age: 10 years plus
Warranty: No
Condition: Excellent
Bus: PCI
Type: PAL
Input: Composite video and antenna direct
Supported under Linux and many other OS I am told
Notes: I used this card extensively, it saddens me to let it go, it was a good card but I got a much better one this year, which I can take with me in my luggage and is more or less future-proof. Every now and again someone wants this card from me, and I've refused to part ways with it in the past, now its time to let go.
Price: R50
Item #4 - Sanyo DC-D40U Mini Hifi
Condition: Good
Warranty: None
Age: 10 years+
Price: R200
Notes: This item works, there is nothing wrong with it. I bought this item from Hifi Corporation in 1997 as a shop-soiled unit. There was no remote nor was there any speakers. I then purchased separate speakers which I replaced and chopped and changed over the years, and I will supply the latest set with it. Otherwise the thing works in its entirety. The radio works, the tape deck works, and the CD player is OK, just doesn't like CD-R very much (which is to be expected from products made in 1997)
Please contact me via PM if you are interested in any of the items.
Terms and conditions:
1. Face to Face meeting ONLY - no sales via the postal / courier system. No sale via proxies either, except in exceptional circumstances.
2. No shipping... see point 1, NO SHIPPING WHATSOEVER! PERIOD!
3. People who don't have any iTrader will need to send me a copy of their ID and proof of residence for fraud detection purposes.
4. All disputes shall be between the parties and dragging Carbonite into it / and or the owner of this site shall be seen in a very serious light and I will request that you be banned for the offence
