Description of Bad Deal: @ethandavid sold me a RX580 8GB Deal link, delivered promptly same day.
I work CT (USA) hours so used the gpu for my monitors and thought all is well, after my shift I started doing stress tests, but before I started I checked temps and it was idling on 82 degrees.
I checked the gpu and the fans were not spinning, tried all different software to force a spin to no avail.
I then tried the gpu on my AMD test bench, still no fans spinninf.
After talking to the seller and explaining the situation, I asked for a refund and got the following “Unfortunately I don’t think I can accept a refund as it’ll mean me receiving a somewhat non functional card that will be my responsibility to fix if I receive it”.
Basically meaning it’s my issue, and insinutating I broke it.
Thereafter he had the gaul to say “I didn’t agree to a warranty, nor did I install it myself so I can’t be sure what’s the issue”.
Chalking this up to a R1700 loss, just hope he gets removed from the community.
