Hi guys

Listen i was wondering if anyone out there might be interested in placing an order for some high end sleeving kits. The stuff isn't cheap but was thinking maybe a couple people could place an order.
Here is the link for the shop: MDPC-X International

If you interested, let me know!

The more i see it the more i wanna get some of it!
Got so many idea's but just wanna do my psu first!

Damn. Those kits are awesome!. But R450 for a sleeving kit...damn I wish I could afford it now.

Freekster PM me please, My order is almost placed, we can do a combined order to save some shipping cost.

I was only planning on ordering prob end of next month bud. Just no cash atm and looking for a different psu atm.

Ok NP, I'll open a thread next week when I want to order.

Same here! Been looking at that site long and hard. Thinking of going for the big kit. Then at least be able to sleeve whole system.

Thats what i'm thinking but just wish they woulddo the big rolls in the colours as well. Because i want black and orange or red.
If i have some extra from buying a gfx i'm gonna get me some, but problem is you need to actually buy the tool too unless someone knows where to get one locally

yes. was looking at that crimping tool. I think any hardware shop should have decent ones though. I have a very cheap...thing that I want to replace with one of those MDPC crimpers. Thinking of doing black and grand blue as my colour scheme. That orange colour looks so good. Hell, even the sunfire yellow looks good.

HAHA. Damn. Well, the crimping tool 35, the kit 42. So I think you'd be able to get out for the price of R1000 (shipping inc) for enough and 2 colours to fully sleeve your rig.

Been thinking about it today, do you guys all want the bigger sleeving as well?

If not we could just chip in and buy a family pack and split it.

Recon I'll just be using the small sleeving?

I only want the small sleeving for now. but i want colours!
But if you wanna split a big one ye, why not. Maybe i'll just order a thing of colour as well.

How much do you think you will need to do a complete psu?

If I look at what they have on their website, 30m should be more than enough for me, but to be on the safe side, I'd say max 50m.

Probably it'll be a lot less. I'll be sleeving the following only:

24-pin MB at about 50cm = 12m
8-pin CPU at about 50cm = 4m
6+2 pin PCI-E at about 50cm X2 = 8m
Fans, Case cabling, etc max 5m

According to my fast calc, 30m is more then enough and would cost about 20 Euro for the 30m lenth excl. shipping if we do take the 200m roll. Split even between 6 of us then.

Seriously doubt I'll be using the rest of the kit, so this seems like a real viable option, 1/2 price :)

Let me know what your thoughts are on this. Just an idea.

That souds good but everyone is gonna have to buy a tool as well.
The problem i see with buying the big roll is that we still have to cut the heat shrink and sleeving but i suppose that is ok.

Ok so if we had to do this, i want the following:

2 meters red MDPC SMALL-Heathsrink (4:1) - 5.38 euro
20 meters red MDPC SMALL-Sleeve - 13.36 euro
20 meters black MDPC SMALL-Sleeve - 5.38 euro
2 meters black MDPC SMALL-Heathsrink (4:1) - 13.36 euro
PIN-REMOVER 4-PIN - SAVE MY WALLET - 2.27 euro
1 original Pin-Remover by the MOLEX company - 20.34 euro

Totaling: 60.09 euro's ex shipping.
I can only confirm next week Tuesday so if you can hold off till then, kewl beans!

But if anyone can get teh tools in sa and cheaper, please it'll save a couple euro's

Slick u gonna sort out this deal? Now i'm lank amp'd to spend a w-e covering my pc! Haha

I just placed an order with MDPC.... Problem comes in when you need to get the funds transferred to them. Bank wants original invoices on letterheads so they know what you're importing... yes they see that as importing. Charge to get the cash transferred on an order of about 70 Euro? R200

Hope you have better luck

Anyone have any experience with Paypal?

I've used paypal b4 and it works like a charm! a lot easier than what you've experienced.
Have you received your order? How long did it take?

Indeed. Paypal is masterful. They do of course add a little by using their own conversion ratio, but give them what is their due :) Paypal FTW.

So i hope that by next week Wednesday we will be able to place the order as i would like to get the sleeving sometime this month so that i can enter the mod comp!
