I bought this wireless microphone system at the end of June this year to be used strictly as standalone backup recorders. After testing it on a project, I noticed that the microphones have audio drift when used solely as a recorder.

the audio is 100% perfect when transmitting wirelessly to a camera with no drift.

i contacted Fulaim and worked with them for 3 weeks doing test after test replicating the problem i had so they could fix the problem. unfortunately with no fix ln the end for the audio drift.

it was determined that I did not have a faulty unit, but that all the units have this problem - meaning you cannot use it solely as a standalone recorder, but more as backup audio recording in case the wireless transmission breaks and you need to replace the specific lost audio from the lost wireless transmission (it works fine this way)

I have used it as a streaming solution since which worked fine but because i recently bought a new system, this is going to just sit in my cupboard im sure.

Im not sure if it has warranty anymore since they gave me a partial refund since - I also altered some of the accessories before i knew it had the drift problem. I have sprayed one of the small magnets of one of transmitter units white (the other one is black) so it blends in when talent wears the mic and they have on brighter clothing. I also shaved down one of the deadcats of one of the transmitters a bit so it doesn't look as bulky. Everything else is like new. I will add photos when i get a chance.

Overall the mics sound decent for the price point.

Before this mic i had a DJI mic which also had the drift issue when used as a standalone recorder. I returned it. not sure how or why it happens.

These sound quite interesting.

What do you mean by audio drift? Does it go out of time?
This would suck if you are recording video on 1 or more different cameras and then need to add the audio afterwards.

@eyesuc yes - when recording for longer periods (more than 30 mins and onward), the audio drifts - meaning it does syncs up to the camera initially, but as it records, it goes out of sync as time goes on (as a standalone recorder)

but for small sections where you need to replace audio in post due to lost transmission when using it as a wireless recorder plugged into the camera, you can do that fine.

I got them as pure standalone recorders which of course as i mentioned/found doesn't work.
