If Ebay in the UK is starting to accept bitcoins, I can only naturally assume that Ebay worldwide will do the same. As far as I know Ebay is a $14.7billion market per year.(correct me if im wrong please)

This will definitely be one of the best things that can happen to bitcoin/litecoin as a currency.

Here is the article:
eBay Takes Its First Steps Toward Virtual Currency

You guys better start buying my miners, this opportunity wont last forever

I like I like... Now I wonder if PayPal will get off their high horse and allow us to buy crypto through it.

paypal will never do that for as long as people pay them their fees to transfer money (and they take so damn long that they have gained interest on your money by the time that they send it)

But crypto will make them squeal one of these days. And I cannot wait. :)

If i'm reading that article correctly, they're not actually going to be accepting Bitcoin (or any other alt currency) as a form of payment, merely creating a legitimate "Bitcoin / Crypto Currency" category where people can list their crypto related items.

Purchases through eBay will still need to be in a government-issued currency.

Well still that will help the trade of the currency, and how long will it take for ebay themselves as well as shipping companies to accept it?

I can imagine that it might even happen later this year.

Indeed.

EBay is just facilitating the deal.
I wonder if there will be some kind of fee attached...
