Hi Guys,

I have the above mentioned Ford. I am in Cape Town Kraaifontein side. I need a place to program/check the ECU/Cluster and immobilizer.
Then depending on that I'll will most likely need to buy a ECU and possibly cluster as well.

1. Can any carbie recommend a trustworthy person/business that does ECU programming?
- That won't cost me my whole salary
2. Any scrap yard or dealer where I can get these items?

I need my car fixed by the weekend, my entire job depends on me having a car

Technical info:
Car started give ''water in fuel system'' and then died. I struggled to get is working again but eventually did. The car still displayed that message when starting it for less than a second then no errors.
But while driving it would just lose power but not switch off, this will happen for a few seconds.

Eventually the car just died last week Thursday morning and I have not been able to start it since.

I striped the whole fuel system and cleaned everything out, surprise surprise, no water in the fuel. Long story short the car was immobilized.
Had a flash code 16 on the dash - PATS cannot communicate with ECU
Took the car to a shop which caused more sh!t for me than anything else. Needless to say they were utterly useless and just wasted my time and money.

I did my own diagnostics at home and the literal first DTC P1622 - THEFT detected, Vehicle immobilized came up, This is after 5 days of me asking the above mentioned place to bypass the immobilizer. They did not do that and damaged my cluster in the process.

I would appreciate any advice or direction anyone can give me.

Thanks

Hey man. You could try Turn-Key solutions in Tokai or J2 Auto Services in Ottery. Those are the only two places I personally trust with things like this. Is the ECU a Bosch EDC based ECU?
