Hi All

I purchased a business last year and inherited the current staff as well as the ex owners sister who was the Accountant in the business for 15 years. After discovering she was "re-directing" funds and I dismissed her, it came to my attention that she registered the business domain in her personal capacity.

I contacted the ISP as the monthly payment is made from the company account. They naturally didn't want to get involved in the matter and seem to have a close bond with the ex owners sister, who never owned shares in the business.

I require help in resolving and obtaining my business domain as she can access our emails as well as control over the website.

I need a specialist in this field, so that we will be able to resolve quickly.

From factoring in what you said - can you not transfer the hosting of the website & the email account? The other alternative could be to stop paying the hosting (if it naturally frees up the domain rights).

Are you instituting criminal charges against the old accountant? The harm that she can cause can be severely limited by reporting her to any regulatory controlling body (RCB) that she may be a member of.

Yes, we are finalizing the Civil and Criminal matters this week, case will go to Commercial court.

I need an attorney who deals with these matters daily or someone at .Co.Za who can guide me to a swift resolution.

Just phone CoZa.

They will email you a form to complete which you take to the Police Station and also do an affidavit on. That's all.

Just have it sent to an email address that's not on the domain in question.

Thank you guys, I am gonna take on every Avenue first.

Completely wasn’t expecting this but have to fight for the domain as it’s an Intergral part of the business.

I've seen this movie before. My father bought a business in the 1990's, the owner's daughter stayed on as employee. She was stealing stock during the evenings, sending it off to her father so he can run his new business.

We nearly lost the house and the business couldn't survive the massive loss. I had to quit school and start working to help support the family. And those motherfuckers? Nothing happened to them. Cops did fokkol.

After looking at the entire process and the risk of not being guaranteed an award I have chosen to create a new domain.

Thank you all for your assistance on this matter.
