I have a colleague and friend who works in Gadaref, Sudan on a project providing services for displaced children there. Given the country is at war and internet is barely a thing, she is trying to find a Kindle to have something to do. Her one trip out of Sudan in a long time was to Nairobi, where there weren’t any available in stores. She’s now back in Sudan and it’s pretty rough, so at least having books to read would help.
I am traveling to hubs where other colleagues might get it to her Saturday and again in February, so I told her I’d try see if I find a donation somewhere.
Happy to swap for a bottle wine or some small money. If it’s free I’m also happy to PIF of course.
