Dash cams - what are you using and what would you recommend ?

So as the title says, what dash cameras are you guys using or what would you recommend?

Been looking for a simple and reliable one but there's not much info about which ones to buy and which ones to avoid.

Bought a few of these: 70mai 1S D06 1080P Smart Midrive Car DVR English Version Voice Control IMX307 Sensor 130 Degrees from for the family and have been running for over a year without issue.

I like that there is no screen , making them less conspicuous and (hopefully) less likely to steal . Also small enough to place behind the rear view mirror so you never see it.

I have this with the rear camera and it's very meh.

It'll randomly reset, the noises it makes are irritating and it has a tiny onboard battery for recording when parked and someone bumps into you but that sensor causes it to start recording emergency footage every time you go a bit too fast over a speed bump.

very good recording though and very easy to setup.

It cost me the equivalent of R600 and for that price, it's worth it. Not worth R1500.
