Cyberpunk 2077

The nexus mod for AMD gave me an extra 10 fps driving around the city, My gpu usage has always been at 98 to 99% so dont know if the other fixes will help

I'm 30 hours in and absolutely loving it!

I've had 0 crashes, and no game breaking bugs so far. My audio stopped for a few seconds every now and again yesterday, but I changed my audio option to TV Speakers or Headphones (depending on what I'm using at the time) and the issue disappeared. I also get the occasional palm tree popping up or an npc car randomly flying in a direction.

I love the game, I dont love the random crashes at every save point do far. Submitted about 20 bug reports so far xD

Here's hoping the next patch fixes this save point issue.
Wow. I've had no crashes. Have I just been lucky? (over 20 hours in). Edit: I see you're on GOG. I'm on Steam.

I do not have that hex editor.

But you need to change the search options to 'search anywhere' Not the default.

Busy at work atm. I will dig around for the exact search string

OR

You can got to my other posted link and use the auto patcher. Mods at Cyberpunk 2077 Nexus - Mods and community

correct CPU usage increases the FPS

Yep, got the search tab set to Hex.
Tested searching for other values that I could see to be sure that it works, but that string doesn't.

Does do the thing where it opens up the CPU multithreading/multisampling thingy?

I am getting 60 or so constant fps on ultra and its working fine for me.

I don't see the need to fiddle and change stuff in the code for an extra +- 10fps, as game runs nice and smooth already for me.

Sent from my ELS-NX9 using Tapatalk

I have basiscally same setup as you with MSI gaming trio and getting dips in 40s in some areas. Getting a lot of dips during day time in the city.

What settings are you using?

GOG Version. Whole game locks up dead frozen. Then crashes to desktop with an error.
I had those kind of crashes when my 1080ti wasn't happy with the overclock (which ran just fine in all other games).

I thought the same on my 3080, Removed the OC. Rebooted. Same story.

So will try the profile deletion method.

Game is just trying to save you from playing with a ugly character :p

Speaking of this, anyone had this graphical glitch where if you look into a mirror while wearing clothes and a hat/headband or whatever your char shows up naked and bald in the mirror? (talking about the mirrors in game now, not the one in my room)

Yep. Known glitch! Did make me chuckle though. Edit: Sorry I was referring to the apartment. I haven't had an issue with other mirrors.

weirdest glitch like this I have had was equipping a jacket and having my tits showing through the jacket. like you can see the jacket, but you can see the tits as well.

I have had a few weird glitches on the steam version
-had @Thanatos_ZA Boobs Glitch happening to one of the NPC's
-a game-breaking one where I couldn't progress due to cutscene freezing (simple quick load did the trick)
-one where a specific gun wouldn't shoot no matter what I did (closing and reopening the game resolved that)
-The Bald/Naked Character in the mirror
-T-pose flashing while driving the bike third person
-my gun going off if mushing F and scroll wheel when I'm looting

But even with all that, I am still enjoying the game a lot

Had the T-pose one as well before 1.04 patch came out.
Other game breaking one I had was yesterday during the last of the 4 fist fights where the oponent just wouldn't give up...
Just stood there looking at me after getting up.
Had to reload to a save before starting the fight to be able to progress.

For those on ryzen and wondering if the hex thing works, it does on my 3600. as @aiccc said its this:

you will need this hex editor: Downloads | mh-nexus

and this is the guide :

Step by Step:

  1. Download HxD hex editor
  2. Find your Cyberpunk2077.exe, i have GOG so mines was in Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64 (For steam: Steam\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\Cyberpunk2077.exe)
  3. Make a backup copy of Cyberpunk2077.exe just in case
  4. Drag Cuberpunk2077.exe to HxD, a bunch of hex numbers should appear (like 01 FF 0D, etc)
  5. Press CTRL+F, change column to Hex-Values
  6. Put in "75 30 33 C9 B8 01 00 00 00 0F A2 8B C8 C1 F9 08" in the search string without quotes, those values should be highlighted
  7. Copy "74 30 33 C9 B8 01 00 00 00 0F A2 8B C8 C1 F9 08" "EB 30 33 C9 B8 01 00 00 00 0F A2 8B C8 C1 F9 08" without quotes
  8. Back in HxD right click the highlighted values and select "paste insert"
  9. Now go to top bar and click the save icon logo
  10. Done
I did this and my CPU usage went from 50% to 90% on high crowd density. My 3070 went from 75% to 90% I gain about 10 FPS, also FPS seems more stable and less random stutters.

so 22hrs in and finished main campaign (corpo)... I feel like I chose a shitty ending, so started over with Street Kid earlier today.
What level were you at when you finished? I'm trying to figure out how much I need to specialize my skill trees.

If you end up super high with basically everything then maybe I'm wasting my time trying to optimize the branches.

I was lvl 24 and rep 37 when I finished the game on the first playthrough.
From the amount of skill points you get I don't think it's possible to max every single skill tree, so optimization is the way to go.

Thanks, what did you specialize in?

I'm currently doing cool and reflexes but not sure how I feel about it.

Strange, I haven't experienced any random crashes once and loading times are blazing fast.

The only bug I really noticed was when Jackie had his gun through his head
I had the same bug...such a serious moment, and you dont know whether to laugh or cry because of this bug....

Pistols and engineering.
Found a sweet tech pistol, and then a tech sniper that could take out enemies through walls which made even 'Very Hard' fights a relative walk in the park with enough ammo.

i have done the hex editor fix and it definitely works. all 16 threads are being loaded on my 5800x now rather than 8 threads before. Will test later if it made any performance difference in the cpu limited areas of the game.

So did the Hex editor modification now and a. game runs slower. Average fps dropped to 90 again (was 114-120 before the modification).
And then also sitting with textures not loading.
Cars look like smudges on wheels driving past.
Again, not a issue before trying this 'hack'.
Maybe it works better for other AMD cpu's

Zero crashes on Steam as well so far but I haven't played much. Mainly just been benchmarking trying to find the right settings for me.

I disagree completely with most of the stuff that DF vid said. LOD and AO make a huge difference to visuals, even the film grain as I said before (Chromatic Aberration not though, that can stay off). Well maybe their punch is reduced when you have access to RT settings but without object detail is heavily affected. I wish LOD was two seperate sliders though because it controls both the quality of close-up textures and object loading distance. Object distance loading obviously isn't super important but the texture thing kinda is. Likewise without AO if you don't have access to RT shading then things end up looking flat and lacking in definition. So both these settings should ideally be high. And film grain is like colour correction for the game, it makes it look like the Cyberpunk you expect rather than just any old Far Cry.

So is that Nexus tweak still valid? So many tweaks posted the last few pages I have completely lost track.
