Hey guys/girls,

I currently have the h500p still with tons of fan cooling etc, I'm still toying with the idea of getting a Cougar Conquer but I need reasons as to what would make it better then my cm h500p besides looking cool. Help me out with some input please.

Thanks

FYI if open case offers no real temp improvements then I may as well stick with my epic h500p

It's funny that this case is so popular overseas yet in South Africa it receives very little feedback, I assumed master builders of pcs here would be arguing all the facts I wanted already backed up with tests lol.

Stick with your H500, just mod it. Take the front panel off and get some mesh from a hardware store to improve the airflow.
Gamers Nexus wrecked the H500 for it's airflow, replaced the mesh and it was better.

@JollyJamma thanks for replying bud, I already have all perspex off and all fans in place that the case allows. Just looking at more

It's a cool chassis, just badly designed. Keep it unless you find serious hotspots that affects your components. Keep that 1080ti cool.

@JollyJamma my gpu sits around the 72 degrees mark average with my setup under full load, my mobo sits around 60 degrees under full load and my cpu sits around 75 degrees under full load at 5.2ghz so temps could be better but not always the issue

If you have all the perspex off your case then going to an open chassis isn't going to help you lower your temps. Also the case is uglier than zuma.

I wouldn’t stress. Why don’t you custom mod it with paint job?

The Cougar Conquer looks great but is to Pricey. There is also the problem with the PSU cables that are to short because of the motherboard location which means cable extensions are needed and also the case scratch easily.

Do the mod as per @JollyJamma 's thread on your case first, and if does not work then look for something else, my 2c worth.

Hilarious thing about this whole thread, I see @Leetpro have built up a Raidmax X08 as well as a Cougar Conquer with videos on youtube for the builds. These vids need a bit more spotlight me thinks

Nice vids / builds. did not even know these cases existed until a few days ago ... Think the Raidmax is more practical than the Cougar, but I like the look of the Cougar more. That said, I think I will still stick with my Air 540 .. :sneaky:
