I suggest to look at cash converters and pawnshops as well. They sell them by the dozen as nobody uses this, You should be able to get a tomtom XL for around R250 even.

I have a an unused Garmin Nuvi 200w with 2017 maps if you are interested. I have used it in my daily travels but no longer need it as I have upgraded to a later model.

Here maps is available for both iOS and Android. It's ex Nokia maps. It has downloadable maps and an offline mode that will save your data. I think it's full name is 'here we go'.
