Description of Bad Deal:
Good day Carbonite. I trust you guys are well. (TLDR : Took my money and gives PUDO the run around for collection too)
The whole story:
On the 22 November 2023 I came across the above deal for Gigabyte 3060ti graphics card. Seller apparently sold one identical card to another carbonite member who confirmed to have picked up the card from his residence and it was working well, cool.
On confirmation by seller that the card was still available for purchase I sent through a DM on carbonite asking for him to message me on my cellphone number so we may facilitate a deal. Four minutes later I receive a message on whatsapp from the seller introducing themself. We then worked through the cordialities and then I went on to ask the seller if he was able to ship to me in Durban using PUDO. I enquired about the condition of the card and if seller was able to send me pictures. He then informed me that he would send through pictures once he was home, to which I agreed. Seller also assured me of his top notch rating on carbonite.
Later that evening I was sent two pictures of the card which look legit. A google reverse image search did not reveal any sketchy business. The card appeared to be in great condition. I then asked seller for his account details for payment including an email I may send proof of payment to, seller furnished he requested details and I proceeded to make payment and gave him the PUDO locker location I needed it to be sent to.
I sent through POP on whatsapp and directly from ABSA through to his email and I asked when he would ship the card, he responded that he would ship first thing in the morning. From here on responses started to become a lot more delayed than they were before payment which initially irked me. Seller informed me he has been really busy and is having to take work home as well, which I understood and allowed him grace given my kind nature. He then sent me a screenshot of the PUDO shipping arrangement and then proceeded to give pudo the run around for three collection attempts to date.
As it stands currently I have not been responded to on whatsapp since yesterday and seller does not take my calls either. Seems unlikely I will be receiving anything else other than the disappointment I currently have. I have asked for performance on the part of the seller or alternatively a refund. nothing has come of it.
UPDATE: PUDO has now cancelled the collection.
