Bikers!?

Bernie's Joint in Pta is hosting an "American Muscle Day" on Sunday from 08h00. Should be good for a looky-see of all things Yank excess. We'll be going through around 09h30 to 10h00 for an hour or so.

I will be dead from watching UFC 300 otherwise I would have gone through. Hell maybe I will anyway.

So the panniers came... happy and all that, take it out of the boxes to check it out, all scratched up... Im like WTF... Send them video etc. So they ordered a new pair and it will be there in the morning, taking these back to be swopped out, if the new ones are also dinged up, refund time. WhenI buy new, I expect new. End of story. I wanna be the one to scratch them, not get them pre-scratched... Ai weet jy... And its not cheap man...
So they ordered me a new set, that arrived today, Day and Night difference, so Im happy now. Here are some before and after pics. Came out quite nice IMOH.

Gonna have to be honest. Makes your bike look ugly AF. Diavel is not meant to have panniers but then again no bike looks good with panniers.

Looks good!

Would love to see a width comparison between this and a 12x0 GSA with its panniers on. @HNO3ZA how wide do they make the bike?

Its ok, everyone has their own unique taste. I dont feel it looks bad at all, I like it. hehe

Picked up our 800GS [2011 40k KMs] on Friday, really nice bike! Parents are getting into riding now as well, and decided to start on the 800GS [both have some previous experience].
What a blast it is to drive though! Coming from the 1200GS, it is incredibly light!

Onto other topics though, the 800GS has the Mitas E07's on and I really like the feel of these tyres, confidence inspiring and corner exceptionally well.
Subsequently, was struggling to keep up in the corners on the 1200GSA due to a very weird vibration coming from the rear end.
Turns out the rear tyre has cupped significantly, so will need to replace...
I have done 3000km on this rear, but have no clue how much it has done before I bought the bike, has about 3-4mm of tread remaining at the deepest points.

Any options on a more 70/30 type tyre? Hopefully one that will do 10k KMs
I have just fitted a Scorpion trail 2 on the front, but now not sure if going to a 70/30 or 60/40 rear with a 90/10 front is a good idea?
Had thoughts on the Mitas Enduro trail adventure, or the E-07+ ?
Maybe a continental TKC70, but have read very mixed reviews about wet weather riding with these...

I picked her up this weekend.

I don't know much about dirt bikes [ I'm learning as much as possible ] , but I'm tired of indoor hobbies, it's time I get out a bit more.

Picked her up for R34k. Starts first kick and sounds lovely.

Looks excellent bru.

Please remember that green spokes will give you 45cm extra flight time over every jump, so adjust your speed accordingly.

Also, I hope you have also gotten riding gear.

Each sticker, especially flame stickers, add 1 hp per sticker.
Pfft, How much do you actually know about bikes? :p
