Bikers!?

Do any of you guys get it where you cruising along in the fast lane, catch up to a car who then looks in his mirror sees a bike and deliberately slows down to a crawl?

First bike: Really old maroon Yamaha, don't remember the model, just know it was a 80's model and when I got it from my uncle it had no brakes and I was brave enough to ride it like that for 2 months

Current bike:2006 Kawasaki ZX6 636

Dream bike: Changes all the time, but currently, my dream garage would have a 1290 Duke, Kawa H2R and Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom

No, but I've had situations where it feels like that's happening. I read a small study done on road rage where this came up. Basically the conclusion was that the vehicle in front of you will look like it's going faster than it actually is while you're catching up. When you come up behind them and slow down to match their speed it feels a lot slower than you thought it would be, and so seems like the vehicle in front has actually slowed down.

That said, trolls be trollin' and I guess you might get people doing that out of spite.
Annoying as fck but you just have to take a breath and wait for a safe point to overtake. Life goes on.

First bike was a Yamaha RZ50 back in the early 90s.then nothing for 22 odd years. Just got a new job and the is no parking so I bought a Cleveland Cyckewerks Heist and loving it. It ain't fast but it draws a lot of attention wherever I park it.

Awesome, enjoy! :) What pipes does it have?

Leo Vince SBK....with the original baffles. Nice & civilised for pulling out of the garage early on a Sunday morning but barks like a beast when you twist its ear :)

First bike: 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250
Second (current): 2012 Honda CBR600F
Always eyeing a Street Triple, and that might be next.

The Street Triple is probably closest to a dream bike I have.
The BIG/Expensive bikes tend to be excessive on the road, so maybe a completely carboned out triple with magnesium mags and all the goodies.

Congratulations awesome bike and those Leo vince is deafening without the baffles remember mine like yesterday.
Thanks very much. Yeah, it's just a bit crazy without the baffles. I don't see myself ever taking them out.

The STR is a really fun and forgiving bike, you might miss the wind protection your current ride gives you though. After 100kph, fairings and especially windscreen are a delight every day of the week. But would buy a STR again.

/Naked problems

Most of my riding is the commute to work which doesn't touch the highway, so I can easily live with that.

The one I rode had a little screen on that neatly deflected it high on to my chest.

Worst case I'll have a good reason to use ear plugs when riding for fun.

That is quite a change of pace

With the Leo Vince on my Fazer i was like who would want this baffle thing?
I sold the sv over 2 years ago... So the Honda is my first bike in over 2 years. Needed a commuter for work and home...

I ride at Maraisburg, chimes, heidelberg, Tussen koppies, wild west and De Wildt and you?

Oh nice! Rode Heidelberg and Chimes this weekend.

We usually just ride Heidelberg, so riding Chimes was a nice change.
Dewild is cool, just quite a drive for me.

I dont like your new route definitly not enough loose stones

PS.Stop stalling so often you make me jealous of the E-Start

If you want loose stones, go ride Dewild. I'm running the red aux spring, need to change back to yellow. Red doesn't suit my riding style.

Jeepers, you're making me want to get a plastic.

My buddy (1190Adv) and I rode Breedts Nek and some canal/railway service roads between Rustenburg and Harties yesterday morning. A rite of passage for the new 990 :)
Breedts was surprisingly loose & rocky; if we have a proper thunderstorm now it'll turn into a mini Sani Pass.

Also had my helmet cam going but I'm slow to edit & upload :p
