With the pertty much collapse of the South African Postal Service and them becoming nothing more than a queuing line for SASSA grants for me the days of ordering from eBay or Aliexpress are over.

I was thinking it may be good to put together a database of international online places that use couriers that are of reasonable costs. So far I have only been using the following:
Name | Description | Variety of products | Courier costs and delays
Banggood | Chinese type products like you woudl find on aliexpress | Large | Banggood use buffalo which is very reasonable and delivers to your door. I typically find a lead time of 2-4 weeks
Amazon | Probably the standard by which all other ecommerce sites are measured | Vast - you can find anything | Uses DHL but gets pretty good rates. Very fast lead time - 1-2 weeks typically. |
