so, I must start this off with a warning/disclaimer... this device is not appropriate for just anybody, it's nothing like your typical run-of-mill gaming mouse, or keyboard, or gamepad. as such, I'm honestly not expecting this to generate much interest, but I feel like there may be someone out there who could make better use of this than I am currently.

I am absolutely blown away by this Cyborg, it's completely changed the way I play games.. and that's even without making use of all of it's 29 buttons. I played through the entirety of Cloudpunk with it effortlessly, albeit in third-person view, but I'll get to that point in a moment. the build quality really is quite something, it's got a solid base, the Omron switches are beautifully light and quick, the analogue thumbstick is super accurate. it comes with 4 completely different thumbsticks that can be changed on-the-fly in mere seconds thanks to a simple but effective magnetic mount, which holds it in place incredibly well.

with all that said, this is designed more as a replacement for a keyboard, rather than a standalone input controller.. so without the ability to use this and a mouse at the same time, I'm unfortunately still just as limited with my inputs as I was before I got it... on top of that, because my left arm is paralyzed, I got the "lefty" version, which is designed for people who use their left hand for a mouse, and their right for a keyboard (or in this case, a Cyborg). as such, I've discovered the hard way that this is not quite appropriately for a right-handed person.

before the price tag gives you a heart attack, please do keep in mind that my asking price here is far lower than it would cost to buy and import directly... my chosen configuration added up to 245 Euro, which converted at the time of payment to a few cents short of R6250, plus the import duties of R1025, which brought the total cost to a whopping R7275.

the exact options I selected through their online store are as follows:
  • Position: Azeron in right hand
  • Color: Black
  • Palmrest: Both
  • Hand Size: Large
  • Thumbstick Type: Elite V2
  • Custom Nameplate: none (it just says "CYBORG")

I've added a few photos of it to a Google Photos album for your viewing pleasure, but I would highly recommend you do your own research online, perhaps watch a few review videos on it first.

in my photos at least, please do take special note of it's size compared to the G502 next to it, as well as the smooth patches on the palm rest that I prefer using (which only took a few days to happen, by the way). I am seriously considering covering this palm rest with some sort of padding, which would not only hide this somewhat unfortunate design flaw, but would also make it much more comfortable to use.. but unless I can find a way to do this without making any permanent modifications, I might only do that if I end up keeping it after all.

please feel free to ask any questions regarding this one, and if you're anywhere near the Howick/Hilton area of KZN, you're welcome to come and have a look at it before making any decisions.

Hi
I bought the Cyro leftie for myself about 4 months ago, as my right hand is badly affected after I suffered a stroke, it really does take time to get used to, but its pretty cool, hope you get your Cyborg sold....good luck
