If you want to test the end product before buying it, just buy a month's subscription of Origin Access for R50 and play the 10 hour free trial they provide. However, the open beta is free and with BF1 it was close enough to the released game to provide an indication as to whether one would eventually want to buy the game or not and I suspect it will be the case here too.

I just got BF1 few days as a gift from a friend i played 10 mins only and wasnt impressed to be quite frank yet the gameplay videos from BFV across various streamers shows promise then again I was a COD player many moons but ok

You are welcome. I played a couple dozen hours of BF1, but it never captivated me like BF4 did. I played some of BFV's open beta too today, but, in all honesty, it feels too much like a tweaked an reskinned BF1 to me.

No its not. Its not worth a thousand bucks either.
Not sure if its been mentioned before but this is basically a very expensive expansion pack.

Is it just me or has battlefield just become a little bit tired? I dunno. Maybe my tastes have changed, but reducing the over 100 guns in BF3 to just 35 guns across 4 classes in BF5 is just....meh. I remember battlefield being about grand battles: interplay of vehicles, squads etc. Maybe the maps will be different and the they will expand the scope, but i'm not feeling it anymore. Angry Joe pretty much nailed it here:

I do agree with you.
I love the game but just feel that there isn't a variety as you said.
That being said I don't know how many weapons they had in WW2.

Actually, they need to make another 2142, I do miss that game.

keep it simple and make it so that games are won, not just by the super OP weapons you can choose from, but by tactics and actually shooting in the right places

It's not just that, but it's just one of the ways you feel the streamlining effect of bi-annual releases start to impact on a game. I don't even want to know what balancing has to be done in order to create a fair spread between guns in the game, but when your assault class has only 8 guns to chose from, it starts to feel very limited very fast.

2. No DOM / TDM modes in Beta

I'm over it as well. Won't be buying it. It's now cod with a useless tank and two kites. Miss the days of the epic battles of BF1942 and BF2.

@Pansyfaust Yah I think AngryJoe captured Battefield V perfectly. Aside from all the mechanic related issues one major issue for me at least is the aggressive blue hues to hide the flaws of the game. Also the white text to bright background is completely unacceptable from a big company like EA and devs like DICE, like amateur hour.

I know the hate train is rolling on BF5 with most of the community on-board but will any body be picking it up on launch?

I just cant play another round of BF4 or that PUBG crap anymore, My whole clan is stuck on BF4 and refuses to move and I am looking for people to Jam with on release.

On a side Note: The Massive outcry after the Beta seems to have shaken DICE awake, I heard there will be another Beta before release
