@SPWM alot of gamers (myself included) are opting to use there keyboards in a vertical position giving you more space on the desk but more importantly giving you the options of using your thumb for a number of extra easy accessible buttons above the spacebar. Having a 60% KB makes it easier to place your keyboard in a vertical position without it being in the way.
