More info:
So as I said I got this car for 55k (may of been 50 but My memory eludes me) from someone on carb, I put in 15k to fix up the door and the fender as it was not as simple as just fixing that as it always goes, I did a full service on at when I got it and had to do the following.
1. Replaced the air filter that was put directly onto the intake with a naked cone, extended it with a decent bit of pipe, put a new k&n on with a shield
2. repaired/replaced exhaust boxes and parts of the pipe (weird welding/holes)
3. replaced the tappet cover (huge crack on it that was sending oil around the back of the motor which i saw after jacking it up at the shop)
4. replaced all the cabling inside the door which was damaged/make shift fitted to have it seem to be in a condition of working
5. found out that there was no aircon radiator in the car - replaced this
Aircon pump is not working —-
6. resprayed the inner bonnet and spoiler as they were not looking so great.
7. replaced the battery and removed the directly connected sound which was pulling a *&^% ton of juice and just causing kak
So after the initial 15k it has cost me an additional 8k or so to get these last items sorted so I am in way over 70k by now and I am finally okay with where the car is BUT !
I am about to get an offer to eff off to NZ now and moving in with my GF until then while I once again sell up my life, so unfortunately this is one of the items that need to go.
Things I would of been doing next
1. replace the front fender and grill
2. replace the levers that pull the seats forward
3. place the 6x9's that are on the backboard into the back passenger area then get the original parcel shelf back into the car
after that I doubt there will be much more to do on this if you wanted everything "perfect"
FYI
