Xioami's Mi A3 - will it work in SA?

So my friend offered to buy me a cellphone in China, and bring it back to SA on his return.

I've done my research and really like the Xiaomi Mi A3, as it suits my needs and budget perfectly.

However, will it work on the cellphone bands here is SA?
I don't understand enough about the topic, but some reviews mention it being an issue when importing to the USA.

Can anyone shed some definitive light on this?
Will I be able to use the phone is SA?

The frequencies supported by the Mi A3 are:
3G frequencies: B1,B2,B4,B4,B5,B8
4G frequencies: B1,B2,B3,B4,B5,B7,B8,B20,B28,B38,B40
