Hey there, music enthusiasts!

I wanted to pop in and have a chat about my current audio gear setup because I'm pretty chuffed about it, and I'm curious to hear what you all think.

So, my main kit right now is the Valve Audio Exclame 100 amplifier, which I nabbed locally. Let me tell you, it's not just easy on the eyes, but it also rocks when it comes to sound. Those valves give it a warmth and richness that's just plain addictive. It's like my music has been on a secret holiday and came back all refreshed.

But what's an amp without some top-notch speakers, eh? I paired my Exclame 100 with some TDL Electronics transmission line speakers, and they've been blowing my mind. The way they handle bass and bring out all those tiny details in the music? Pure magic.

Now, when it comes to tunes, I'm bouncing between Tidal and Apple Music. Tidal for that high-res audio goodness, and Apple Music for its massive library and user-friendliness. To make sure everything sounds top-notch, I've got a trusty DAC in the mix. It's like the cherry on top that makes the music pop.

But here's the kicker: my all-time favourite way to listen is still good ol' CDs. There's something about physically picking an album, popping it in the player, and just letting it rip that's unbeatable. It's like a mini celebration every time.

I listen to a variety of genres, but I've got a special place in my heart for Post-Rock and Darkwave. There's just something about the atmospheric and moody vibes of those genres that hooks me every time.

I'd love to hear about your gear and how you balance digital and physical music. Got any cool gear recommendations or stories to share? Let's keep the music talk rolling!

Found a Cassette yesterday. Selena Selena Quintanillo music tape.

I don't but I also can't seem to part with my collection that's just collecting dust.

I listen to CDs fairly often, it's the nostalgia factor. Paging through the booklets is a magical thing.

As for the system, it's a basic mini Hi-Fi, nothing fancy. I hate being a noisy neighbour, so I avoid the big subwoofers and twenty tier speaker setup wankery.

There is something special about putting on an album, sitting back and browsing the booklet while the album plays from the start to finish.

I have a cd player in my car so I still do occasionally. It's easier than finding the right playlist on my phone. I haven't bought any in a while though. The last was the soundtrack to A Star is Born (Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga version). What's the last cd you added to your collection?

I still do, but I'm mainly collecting Vinyl now.

Six Godspeed You! Black Emperor albums were the last ones, but thanks to an overwhelming number of people letting go of their CDs I'm always on the hunt for special ones. Been enjoying finding a lot of the more slightly obscure South African rock bands from the 90s and 2000s who haven't added their music on streaming platforms.

Another album I value in the collection is Zwan's Mary Star of the Sea. One you can't really find on any streaming platform.
